Only you know what you want to spend your money on. If there's a cute pair of shoes for 20$ and a super cute pair for 30$, I'd probably get the super cute, more expensive pair. They wear the same and do the same job, one costs more. To a penny pencher, it makes no sense to get something more expensive to do the same thing. They'd be bewildered at my shoe choice. I just want the cutest ones because I like them. To an AP, it makes no sense to want to lose more expected. It's your money though, do whatever makes you happy.

Thanks Fenix Can you " post me a view" of you in those cure shoes ?
Seriously, I view " what's better in the long run" the same as " Do you still beat your wife ? ".
I am there to have fun, flirt a little, tell the idiot blaming the dealer for his losses to shut the **** up. I hate a bully!

I think it is a typo and should refer to 13.2.2.2 which covers a payout on a winning Kings Bounty bet. 13.2.2.3 is about a player losing if his total exceeds 21.

WARNING I am not literate in the Australian version of the King's English. While working via telephone with a young lady named Angel in Australia, she offered to "post me a view" Thinking it was in reference to a trouble shooting manual, I declined. Months later I found out Angel's other job was a bikini model. And post me a view translates to mail me a picture. GRRRRR !

Yes, I had to look it up. No, she was not a dent gypsy. Back in 50"s and 60's that was a noble profession, not a scam like today.

    No pics

I can't spend that much on stuff Moses, lol.

I view, "what's better in the long run" like planing to retire with a house and boat, or eating dog food because that's all you can afford. Hopefully neither beat their wife. Have fun at your tables. Split everything, never double, and always hit your stiffs, haha. Might be more fun, and you'll experience an even greater house edge :-D

"Anyone that says they can't afford to deal a $5 game seriously doesn't understand how to make money running a casino."

Ya think! You're stating the obvious. Casino managers are the lowest intellectual form of humanity. Any attempt to apply reason or logic to the discussion is doomed to failure, because a) the casinos aren't going to change (they're too painfully stupid), and b) buzzard isn't going to change, either, because he's happy losing his money at a faster rate than he needs to. We need buzzards to lose like this. If not for them, your job would be even harder than it is now.

"I'm not sure about questioning the intelligence of casino managers though."

I am. As a breed, they're brain-dead. In fact, no one ever applies for a position in casino management without first furnishing a certificate certifying a prior lobotomy.

"I know people that became millionaire's [why the apostrophe??] without hardly working. Does that make them smart?"

What's your point? That some dumb people get rich? What does that have to do with my comment? Some morons win a lottery. What does that have to do with casino managers' being stupid?

    Crappy story.

    Simple answer:
    $5/hand*(-.02) = -$0.10/hand
    $15/hand*(-.0064) = -$0.095/hand
    $100/hand (-003 ) = -$.30 hand
Per your math I am 3 times better off playing 6/5 BJ than the $100 player at SD, s17.
Can you take it from there?

OK Don whip out all the information I am sorely lacking about how a casino can afford to deal 3/2 $5 BJ. Lets forget that 2% edge due to bad players. It is between .75 and .80 on every study I have read. Dealers are only making $5 ? RIGHT and all you have to do is pay the dealer RIGHT. The property taxes, insurance. social security matching, vacations, pension, Air Conditioning , mortgage payments, pit bosses, security, soft count team, etc. Why at 6/5 $5 BJ the casinos are stealing from the customers. It's a business Don, not a charity for ap's. Yes, they deal $5 3/2 some places, lots of places, usually on weekdays. Casinos can fill up on weekends, like movie theaters, bars, pool halls, restaurants. The successful ones meet the weekly nut before the weekend by offering specials like Kids Eat Free, Ladies Drink Free, or $5 BJ. In most industries those things are loss leaders. And woulkd be hard to keep good dealers if the only hours you gave them were weekends. But I am preaching to the choir, I suspect ????

Here we go again. I will give you the best of it. Most $5 players are squeezed in a 7 spot table. But lets look at it this way, I will even play 8 hours at one sitting just to help you out.

    8 x 50= 400 hands. YES ? 400 x 10 cents = $40.000000 Carried it 6 places to the right of the decimal point for math geeks. YES ?
    400 x 30 cents+ $120.00000

What casino do you play at that comps a meal in the best restaurant and a comped room for $24 theoretical loss.
Os the manaher there by any chance a guy named Don ?

Three " Add to that the slot jockeys that came with you or that you may play other games." About as good a definition of a "loss leader" as I am likely to find.
