    No player card? think again

This is my post in other thread but I think it's better to have it in a new title (with minor edit) to alert people who think he/she can get away with no ID or player card.
Here is what happened to me. I came to a casino to check out their blackjack condition as a friend told me they changed the rules and pen for the better. This was 2nd time I ever there and I never get player card from them as I never play anything there because of their lousy rules/pen. I sat down to play few hands of UTH to kill boring time and the floor asked for player card, I said I do not have one then she nagged me for ID but I said NO and gave the reason as this place is too far for me. She disappeared for about few minutes and another floor came to the table also asked me for player card, he got the same answer from me but he smiles and said "Good luck Mr. X" I almost fell off the chair as how could he knows my name. On the way drive home it occurred to me that may be they rewind the tape, trace my steps and read my license plate and that is only way.

If they want to get your identity it is an easy matter. Those in denial find out the hard way.

It is possible but people drive their friends and spouses cars all the time. Another way casinos can get your name is to circulate your photos to nearby casinos to see if you had a card there, track your credit card payment if you did purchase something or use blue tooth to connect to your mobile phone. Surveillance can also read your DL if you happen to open your wallet to get money out if the DL can be seen then. The moral of your post still stands though. If you do not show a card, you motivate the casino to try to find out who you are.

My most popular response to post like this is, "it depends"!

I have been called by name and told I could not play in a strip casino without having played there much less being asked for a card or ID. Was trespassed in large strip casino after playing one 6D shoe at minimum bets as a spotter without a card.

Yes, many casinos can and do capture your license plate when you enter their facility. Law enforcement is not "allowed" to "run you tag" for business use but the old nod, nod wink wink still works.

Facial recognition tied to OSN (not that I am aware of yet) or some of the other surveillance systems are likely the culprit in most strange situations. I am almost certain these exist, especially in the new stores or recently remolded.

I can also tell you of many stores that don't have a clue, I play as a denial and they are fine. I try to play "politely" in those stores. There are other stores where the best place to hide is out in the open. Play rated but modestly.

If you are a frequent player and they want to know who you are then they will find out.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!
