    "Enough of this!"

    Hi girls and boys!

I would like to describe a very interesting casino counter attack or measure that occured to me a few days ago here In Europe.
So regular Sunday late afternoon at our local store, not many blackjack players around mostly slot players were playing. (Elder generations came from Sunday prayer)

Me and my friend are regulars here coming down here to play once or twice a month. They know our faces as happy customers. Especially my friend who is prone to be loud when drinking. He tips as well every now and then. (He is not a counter, he knows basic strategy pretty much.)
I would also like to add to the story that in the past couple of months i ripped off of this casino more than 3000 euro in little chunks.
My maximum winning was nearly 1300€ at one go 5 weeks ago as a RED chipper. I have a feeling that they must sense something fishy around here...

This evening We were the only players playing against the dealer both of us on two boxes. The count had jumped up and i started spreading 2*40 from being 2*5.
(Which is not even a too strong spread i reckon.)
The cards had begun falling our way and i was up around 300 and my friend around 200. (My ramps strictly follow CVCX successfully and my friend raised his bets inconsistently in a very chaotic way since he was drunk.)
Then all of a sudden the pit boss (some serbian looking guy in beige suit with his arms folded-I hope you are reading this-Only joking! -jumped into the shoe when it was nearly finished telling the dealer loudly "ENOUGH OF THIS, NEW SHUFFLE!" with his russian accent. The cut card was not even reached at this point I must add!
Poor dealer following his "boss" command not understanding anything of this mess cut the new shuffle by 50 percent! They whispered something into his ears...

Luckily my friend was tipsy enough (i was completely sober) to announce that he wanted to cash out because he had a lot of jobs to do in the morning.
Later on i told him in the car about what we had just experienced him without noticing. He was in shock for a few seconds. And of course angry..They interrupted basically almost in the middle of the shoe without waiting for the cut card to come out. I was like WTF?!

Has anyone had this experience before or worse or something similar? Shall i change the store for awhile? When shall i go back next time? Maybe on another shift?
    Or just leave it?!

    Any thoughts on this?

    Thank you

Counter measures like half shoe or forced shuffle are relatively common. Looks like you need to find a new place to play.

I love the time a female critter stood back to back with the dealer, shifting her head to whisper into his ear, to half shoe me. She left, got the 50% cut, and I commented - I don't feel the love anymore. Dealer laughed, knew exactly what was going on, and s coup,e if shoes later, "forgot" to hakf shoe.

I've had preferential shuffling on double decks, outside of my normal jurisdiction if double deck, but never a shuffle up on a shoe. Probably simply an issue of local custom. It's actually theoretically possible that they were pissed at your friend, though more likely, you were the observed "offender". Stay off the assholes shift for awhile - play a different shift. Can't believe they would take serious action against a red chipper.

One last thought - do you have any dealers that you get along with who can give you the scoop on this guy. Is he just a dickhead, or is he a respected member of the management tem. The answer to that can guide you further.

I think I will go back alone in about 2 weeks time on early shift. Maybe around 9-10am just to see what the story is. I am extremely curious that if this "dickhead" would halfshoe me or not. Maybe ill try to find out from the kind dealers who this guy is, collecting as much info as i can about him.

In my part of the world half shoeing or any form of preferential shuffling comes very close to being illegal as it alters the odds of the game. Instead, as an initial counter measure, the casino restricts the player to one box along with flat betting.

You must be really obvious. They suspect you were counting an took some measures to see how you would react. Unfortunately you left immediately which to them is an admission that you were counting. You don't want to leave right away but you don't want to stay too long either. That is because they are also telling you it is time to go. You want them to see that you will follow their suggestions so they feel in control.

I had been absolutely crushing this little casino. I knew they couldn't figure out what I was doing so when I arrived to a half-shoeing I played for 6 hours like I didn't care. I knew it wasn't a signal that it was time to go since I hadn't played a hand yet. It was funny all the regulars were leaving for the casino 20 minutes away since this was the only open table. Some didn't even play a hand. The side bet players that are paying attention realize their chances of hitting the side bet are best at the end of the shoe. They generally pick casinos with very deep pen and this place normally cut very deep. I have a strong playing count which makes the HE almost disappear so I wasn't worried. It cost me about $200. When I returned they were cutting off a half deck again. The eventual lifetime win BO came about a year and a half later. The suit that delivered the news confessed they tried several times over the years to figure out how I did it but couldn't match my play to any known technique. He said that didn't matter because my game was too strong for them and said no more BJ or any of its variants.

Thank You Tthree! Last time when they halfshoed me i pretended to be careless and ignorant. I also ordered a Long Island Cocktail. The cut card moved back into its original position after the next shuffle. The only reason why i left now because my friend urged me. He had to work in the morning. So i followed him...

Thais all judgment call that one would need to be there to answer accurately. The safe call is to be conservative rather than aggressive.

And why don't you answer...? WTF, it's not military secret! I didn't ask the casino, I asked about the country.

Anyway... Wanted to let you know that if you need info on french casinos or wanted to discuss with french players you could try my french site at Blackjack-Square.com
