There are others who would argue that a heads up DD game, under tolerant circumstances can be played. In my case (and again, you can dismiss it as variance), I am ahead with a 1-7 spread.

Lousy rules and pen heads up, and if you're up, is just good variance. To legitimately beat using your system, you need a much bigger spread.

Turn left onto Beach Blvd. (Hwy. 90 West) after leaving the Beau and go about 3 miles to the first casino on the right. Weekday mornings and early afternoon are good times. Deep pen, 6-1 spread is good.

Much thanks. I was planning a trip to NY by car but am having second thoughts.

Why the second thoughts? Some of the best shoe games in the country are scattered across the region. Hilo is better suited to shoe games anyway.

T3, to be honest, where I have played, given the rules (H17, no S), I never quite got comfortable. The $10 min tables always seem to have ploppies playing, side bets and too many folks, move slow. The $25 tables are much better but with a BR around $40k, and discomfort with max bet higher than $200-$250, the spread was not really enough, the tables too few (usually only 2 6 deck tables with $25 min) to wong out too often and such.

I developed a liking for the DD games because I could play all, play 2 hands often, etc. Don't know if I can handle the $25 min., 6 deck games.

I live in Minnesota. We have a DD game with 80% pen, H17, DA2, DAS, RSA, LS. We also have a side bet call over/under 13.

But no one in their right mind would opt to drive to MN in April. Too cold!

The casino is cold;meaning they won't take any kind of meaningful action.

Only place that I know of that still has the side bet of over/under 13 in MN is Mystic Lake. Sounds like a counter trap to me. Years ago one of my local casinos had this and I enjoyed playing it.
