    H17 HI LO Indices

    I'm looking for Illustrious18 Indices for 6D,H17,DOA,DAS,SPA1,SPL3,NS.
Pretty much the same as the Illustrious18 Revisited. Only difference is the H17. I'm referencing off of this :

    http://web.archive.org/web/200610230...cindex/r18.htm

Is there any differences? Or can I just use that for H17 as well? I will eventually buy a program in the future for generating indexes. But in the meantime if anyone has any knowledge on it I would really appreciate it. Only reason I ask is because I have searched everywhere on the net and can not find an answer. Thanks!

    from your list there

11 v A is a BS double (hit in negative counts)

    A8 v 6 is a BS double

    17 v A is a BS surrender but a stay at +1

I recommend you purchase 'professional blackjack' by stanford wong or the CVCX software for a full list of hi lo indexes.

There are some differences between H17 and S17.

Do you have BJA3? If so, p. 213.

No, I do not have BJA3. Can you link it please? Also, does it offer indices for SD and DD as well?

Thanks Don, My card counting journey begins with that book. I'm very new to BJ Ap play. I'm proud to say that will be my first book. Feel like I'm in the right place here. Thanks!

I don't want to scare you, but BJA3 is rarely the first blackjack book that people read. It really isn't for beginners.

I will take your word for it! I thank you for replying I really appreciate it. I defiantly want to get BJA3 though, I have convinced myself that HI-Lo is the system I'm going to be sticking with for a very long time. So with that being said, Do you recommend I start with Black Belt in blackjack and maybe follow that book up with BJA3? Anything that pertains to Hi-Lo. I might be a beginner but, from studying these forms I can tell you my brain is overloaded at this point from soaking up so much knowledge and different opinions that I have a completely new outlook on the game itself that I never even knew even existed. I've tried card counting in the past but never as serious as I'm doing it currently. So anything that pertains to setting me in the right direction is extremely appreciated. Thanks again!

Besides books, try reading the archives, the other forums and such. In the end, however, you discover whether you have the aptitude and the personality to succeed only by playing. Kind of like reading up how to play the guitar or play golf or baseball with the intention of being a pro. Sometimes, you might find that you are only going to get good enough to be a recreational player.

Bja3 is a book for further on in your development. Blackbelt in blackjack is excellent with many hidden nuggets. Best book for you is Wongs Professional. Blackjack.

Yeah I defiantly agree with that. I have played poker for over 10 years. Read a lot of books and studied the game in depth. Pretty much the only game I ever played at the casino. Everything else the house has the advantage over the player. I love poker and always will but, I also enjoy blackjack and want to give it a try. Ive always known that. I like to challenge my self in life, so blackjack defiantly gives me that. But I do plan to take it very serious.

Ok thanks. I will get Wongs book first then. I thought about trying Zen out. But I chose Hi Lo because I feel like it would suit me best. If there's anything else you can suggest that would be great. Thanks

For Zen, other books are better, and those practitioners can advise further. For Hi Lo, Wongs book, though all is good, the tables starting g around page 250 or so, are super valuable to you.
