Do online casinos track player activity and winning streaks?

I have been playing a lot of 6deck BJ online and have been winning consistently. Micro stakes to say the least ($1-$2 hands).

My question is basically this... if I am consistently winning, will an online casino see this pattern, adjust its "software", and then start beating me? How safe is it to consistently beat an online casino? In person, they will do anything they can (break tables, switch dealers etc... but nothing illegal or shady) to stop your streak, but i fear online I may end up getting literally cheated. Thoughts? Forgive me if this post is a mess, its been a long night...

I would imagine if casinos cheated they would do so in a more blanket manner or if they did target specific segments of their player base they would only bother with the high rollers.

This really gets to the question of 'can online casinos be trusted'. For the most part, yes. Visit the Wizard of Vegas website and check out a few of the articles written. There's plenty on the reliability and trustworthiness of casinos and what keeps them honest. There are bad apples around but outright intentional cheating seems to be quite rare.

Unless you have some kind of defined advantage over this online casino (e.g. counting a live dealer with an appropriate spread and bank roll), your winning streak will take care of itself and they won't have to do anything.

First, if you are winning then you are experiencing positive variance and it HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU. The game is designed for you to lose, and lose you will, if you stay long enough. They have no need to focus on you as a player for wins or losses other than for marketing reasons. They have a machine that wins a percentage of all money bet. It does not get any simpler than that. Their objective is just to get you to play more, expect them to likely give you free play as a marketing incentive to keep you playing.

Consider this game an entertainment venue and forget about long term wins.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

As Gronbog and Stealth have mentioned, the only way to be a long term winner is to have an advantage. I'm going to assume that you are using some sort of progressive betting system which will sooner than later destroy your winnings.

@F60: It's a tough question but I think the most important aspect is to find a reputable operator that is using well established software. There have been cases in the past when some joints were using faulty or crooked software.

As far as streaks are concerned, I think it is generally a good idea to play at more than one casino. Each software behaves differently and it takes a while to understand how to best ride the streaks and when it should be time to stop.

I am new to this forum by the way... very experienced with playing BJ online though.
