    Mentor true count calculation

I've been trying to learn mentor count with the aid of casino verite. I've ran into a problem and can't figure out why I'm getting a different result than the program. I'm using the chart provided by Mr remzey, ex, running count of 9 with 4 decks remaining 9 *. 5 results in TC 4.5, however casino verite shows TC of 2. Help is appreciated in figuring this out. Thank you.

Do you mean your play in CVBJ has resulted in your bankroll being something other than expectation or that your sims on CVCX or CVData do not match with numbers you acquired elsewhere?

No, the issue is not with the bankroll but the TC conversion. In BJBB2 on page 201 author included a conversion chart, remaining decks times the multiplier. Ex, 4 decks remaining you multiply RC by (. 5), three decks remaining multiply RC by (2/3), Ive been trying to duplicate that in CVBJ, but my results and softwares are off by a lot.

Do you have the Custom TC feature turned on?

No, i have left everything in its default settings. The only things I've changed was the playing strategy selected to Mentor and chose Borgata casino from the database. I've included a couple of screenshots if it helps. Thank you.

Mentor calcs TC in an oddball manner (IMO). Turn on the Custom TC Calc option. It allows you to specify just about anything. If you click on Set Custom, you will see that the default table included is Mentor six deck.

To this day I have been unable to accept
the "odd" 2 deck Mentor TC calculation.
It appears to me to be a step backward.

I suggest using the ZEN COUNT as the
    counting tags are the same.

After setting custom TC on, i can see how CVBJ gets the TC. I'm very new to this, and it's most likely my own fault for not getting close to the same results. But the count is off by a lot. Example, 2 1/2 Decks left and RC = 25, in software showing TC = +5, by the method provided in the book TC should equald 20. It's a huge difference.

I did just that, it calculates according to these parameters just not to Mr. Remzey's strategy. I do have one stupid question, not related to software. When we convert to TC, does it mean decks remaining in the shoe or decks remaining until the cut card comes out ?

Sorry, load the Sample Multiply Table. It should look like the table in his book.

TC calculation uses decks remaining without regard to cut card.
