What ways do you guys use to vet people?

Just as the headline reads... my face is getting burnt at a few places that I'd like to be playing at and want to possibly train and stake people. I understand this is the internet and you can be anyone you so choose. Any help is appreciated.

Who do you network with. Who do the guys you are vetting network with. If there's a commonality, check the common denominator. On a board like this, check with Norm to find out what he knows, or if he can vouch fir one if the references he provides. Of course, Norm would have to be comfortable with you before handing out contact names.

The list goes on. Others can bake valuable suggestions. There certainly needs to be trust in these arrangements. Personally, I prefer to be a solo artist.

The people I trust on here, and elsewhere in AP, have either earned my trust through lots of interaction or by having a good reference from someone I trust.

Talk is cheap. Doubly so for anonymous persons.

Complete trust follows my face to face meeting in a

casino, chatting, watching the other person play, etc.

Well vetting their skill is pretty easy, you just watch them count through a few shoes and see if they make any mistakes. Vetting their honesty on the other hand is a whole different ball of wax.

I've always entertained the concept of blackjack playing drones. Wonder how that would play out?
