    Blind person playing BJ

I was in a DD pitch game head to head and some one appeared to be visually impaired set next to me wanted to join the game. I was totally amaze. It got the pit boss's attention, he told the dealer to face up his card and announce this count of two cards and the dealer's up card value. The guy apparently knew the basic and eventually lost $100 and left. It slowed down the game a great deal but it helped the counter.

Not unheard of. There was a tournament player that was blind. His wife was allowed to tell him the cards and bets. All of them.

I've seen a couple too. Both were not completely blind, but legally so. The wife had slightly better vision so she helped out.

Both wore shades. The only reason I mentioned was because the floor man asked about it since you usually aren't allowed them at the tables but no helping it if you're blind.

They would be very reluctant to back off such a player. You open yourself up for lawsuits and hatred from the players that see you pick on the poor blind guy. The casino could be losing quite a few players after the rumor mill spreads the info that the casino is unsympathetic to blind people.

Actually a true story many times.
There are many ways for a blind man to make a living. The link below is bizarre.

I've done something similar. Just buys you more time. A sweat shop is sweat shop
Might have even kept me from getting backed off in a few places
