    Counting cards trainer

I saw the movie 21 lately and really liked it, I am software engineer so I decided I want to explorer this
subject of basic strategy and counting cards for so I started to develop web app that will let you play black jack
and to learn how to use Basic Strategy combined with counting cards.

I decided to take my research to public opinion, and to ask if there are players formulas for combining
counting cards and basic strategy table?

    for example
    player card is 13
    dealer card is 10
    table count is 4
basic strategy you have to pull cards but the oods that you will get high card +1 are goods
so this will cause you to bust.

this is my app so far it is beta version I will love to get some feedback.

The movie ("21") that you reference is dreadful cinematic

trash which has hardly any relation to reality.

I took a look at your (beta) "trainer" There is no feature

set and the GUI is very unattractive.

    I played two rounds --

On the first, the player's hands were played even though

the dealer had blackjack. No insurance option!

On the second round there was no double option for my hand of 11.

Using "card" to mean "hit" is vernacular and unacceptable.

There is a very very wide array of Blackjack Trainers and some

are very poor while some are quite good. It becomes clear that

like you, there are many coders who can put up a simple

Blackjack Application, but the absurd errors and weaknesses and

limited feature set always tips off the user that the software developer

barely knows how to play the game, if at all. I understand that this is

beta software, but you are wasting your time with what you have started.

I played 2 rounds. The game wouldn't let me double on a good soft hand.

Thank you for your honest replay,
I will keep in mind and I will add to add all the features you mention, so in this case I must have a
betting engine that allow you to play by the points you have, the main goal of this is to train you using basic strategy and
counting the cards, which is very not clear when you are using the app.
This leads me to agree with you on the point that the GUI is not well designed and also User experience is
    far from being ok.

    What is feature set ?

is there any calculation formula for combining basic strategy and count?

also I will love to hear about other features you think I have to add except all the basic ones you mention?

If you count you use indices for playing decisions where indices exist and basic strategy for all the decisions.

By feature set, the user needs to be able to have many settings for all of the different rules that exist, as well as the number of decks, depth of penetration, etc. etc.

What is your native language ?

Every count has a different e.v. (expected value) per true Count by which we formulate our
    wagers. We denote this as
    bet-sizing"
With a weak but simple recreational count like Hi-Lo it is a given that the average advantage gained or lost per digit of True Count equates to 0.50% of (dis)advantage. The House Edge is vastly different for alternate sets of rules. That must be accounted for. e.g. 6 decks, Dealer Stands on Soft17, split 3 times to 4 hands, no resplit Aces, Double after split: the House Edge is 0.41% At a True Count of (0) ZERO the player has no advantage. The house holds an advantage of 0.41% At +1 you add 0.50% [-0.41] + [+0.50] = +0.09% Certainly too little to increase one's wagers. At +3 it would be [-0.41] + [3 X +0.50] = +1.09% and that is a solid advantage. Professional Players like to make their personal "max bet" with a 2% advantage which, in this example game, would occur at a true count of [-0.41] + [+5 X 0.50] = +2.09%

I strongly urge you to read an inexpensive book entitled
"The Theory of Blackjack" by Peter Griffin, Ph.D.

Make sure that is the 5th or, preferably, the 6th edition.

I would suggest you visit the website Qfit.com and peruse the offerings for mobile as well as PC based platforms. You should then quickly understand the level of difficulty you have failed to see.

Best of luck with you adventure.

Didn't look at your web app thing.

But IMO, tough to code something if you don't know a lot about it. I think it'd serve you well to purchase a book on card counting or learning more about it online (I think there's a free modern Blackjack book by Norm, viewable online), so you can learn the game itself as well as what needs to be done for the card-counting aspect.
