If you use your cellphone to call your wife its legal. If you use your cellphone to count cards or track the shuffle it's cheating.

I sort of agree with you. In the end it's not whether it's true or not, but whether the casino thinks it's true. In the south everyone wears baseball hats. In the north everyone wears hoodies. Yet, casinos still see someone with a baseball hat on and immediately considers them a threat.

Device or tool, it is functional and multipurpose.

ive had pushback from other AP's when I've mentioned it about how Ploppies do it to. It's not the use, it's the frequency. I've heard dealers comment on how no one "that age" should be on their phone that much, think they're taking pictures, etc.
I agree with you on this, especially if you're older ,though it's not as much of a tell as it was say 6-7 years ago.

It's called Bayesian inference. Just because someones on their phone all the time like a 12 year old girl or spreads to multiple hands doesn't mean anything in and of itself. But if you've got the 12 year old girl act, are constantly shuffling your chips, wearing a ball cap and spreading to two hands mid shoe you might want to work on that.

A lot of those too , They usually are not Ap or even wannabe Ap/counters. The good ones never act like that . I was still able to pick off two candidates. Are they leaving money on the table? definitely. was it worth ? i don't know. They have very reason to hide their skill and i think they are good. No need to elaborate. P.s. a lot of beginner / average counters often have one trait that is common. i never looked at myself play maybe i have the same tell.

This is not correct. Usually it involves sleeping or golfing with the right people, occasionally it will even depend on your knowledge of casino operations.
