    Not a retort but I thought you would be interested...
    Legend has it that when a counter was invited into the manager's office and the manager opined that the counter was counting cards, the counter shrugged and said,"Yes, I am, so I guess you want me to stop playing bj." Manager replied,"No no you can keep playing, BUT STOP COUNTING THE CARDS!!"

    I've been told something similar to that. The table games director at one place once barked at me, "If you don't stop counting, I'm kicking you out." The cards count themselves. I can't help it. It's not something that can be unlearned.
