All,
I have 2 options of where I can play BJ in Chile. Both Casinos use 6 desks with shuffling machines and stand on soft 17, but these are the differences in the house rules:
Casino 1:
- The Dealer does NOT deal himself a hole card, but rather he gives himself an open face card at the end of the hand after the last player has acted. Therefore if the dealer is showing an A, you have no idea until the end of the hand whether or not he has a BJ
- Given the point above, if the dealer is showing an A or a T and you decide to double down or split, you DO NOT get back your split or double down bet, you lose the whole thing if he does have a BJ
- They only allow double down on 9, 10, 11
- They allow double down after splitting
- They allow surrender as long as the dealer is not showing an A
Casino 2:
- Can double on any 2 cards
- They DO NOT allow double down after splitting
- The dealer does deal himself a hole card and checks for a BJ prior to playing out the hand
- Allow surrender as long as the dealer is not showing an A
Which one of these 2 places offers the better game?
Thanks,
Maurice
