    Total Rewards Card Blocked

Apparently my total rewards card has had a block put on it. Im 7 stars and when i get my free rooms ill usually just play video poker at that place and then go play bj at other surrounding non caesars places.

When i checked out, i used my comps to pay for my balance no problem. Then i played 1k tier credits on video poker. Then i went to the buffet. No problems. Then i went to get a smoothie for $8. I should have had $10 in rc from my video poker play. Well, my card wouldn't work and they said there has been a block put on it and it didn't show a reason but they would investigate it.

Has anyone experienced any problems like this with their total rewards card?

I very rarely if ever do an AP play on my card, ive only used it to count cards once which wad in vegas and did end in a backoff, but they let me play all other games and i used my card after that for weeks no problem.
May the Variance be with you.

You were backed off and then your account was deactivated. This is typical. It takes few weeks from the time of backoff to block the account for some reason. If you want to confirm this, try logging online, you will find out.

When i asked the slot host supervisor about it he said that it shows a block but it doesnt show a reason for it and that he is investigating it. He said sometimes this happens if they dont have an updated ID or a social security number, stuff like that. idk whats going on yet...

I'd be interested as to what you find out, too, as going to Vegas this weekend and have TR; not that type of tier credits but also lots of reward credits to use, so I want to make sure they are applied. Though I have never had an issue before either.

After my backoff, it took nearly 6 weeks for them to fully deactivate my account (I was diamond at the time). Between the time I was backed off and when my account was shut off, I was able to use all of my comps, reward credits, etc and extract all cash value. Let us know how things end up.

I've received a trespass letter of an "Indefinite" length, and my card still works, comps still available, mailer still comes every month, and I have friends use the slotplay from it without action from security. Some casinos just handle things differently, and OFTEN you will find that errors are made out of simply overlooking the details and nobody goes back to check them.

I have not been BO much for card counting. Mostly for dice control. But one of my card counting BO's (No BJ or variants but welcome to play other games type BO), not at a CET property, they had comp points never expire. I had earned thousands of dollars in comp points. After 2 years I am getting near the end of using the comp points on a percentage outlook. It will probably be almost another year before they are gone. Despite being the best game on paper to play it was a tough place to make money so I haven't missed it. It actually was the key piece in my awakening to figure out what are actually the best places to win as opposed to the best on paper. I was about even there despite it being the best rules and pen while at another place nearby I always crushed the game despite worse rules and poor pen. After that awakening winning became a lot easier.

I was backed off 4 times in a week in Vegas for Dice Control. I was traveling with some high rollers that were making obscene amounts of money of my skill. The casino wanted the high rollers to bet big but not to win. When you roll 16 6 and 8's in 24 rolls and the big money is pressing their bets on each number when it hits the casinos tend to try to disrupt you. They tried all the usual stuff like bringing in a fill to break my rhythm bitch about hitting the back wall even though I was hitting the back wall on most throws and delivering the dice and then pulling them back. My focus was unshaken. Then they simply refused to let me throw the dice. We went to another casino and it went about the same way. The next day I was on a heater with the same crew of HR's and the casino told me I couldn't set the dice and had to throw them how they came to me and delivered them with a 7 total on top. This is something that never happens in craps. When it does by accident they quickly pull the dice back and roll them and slide them to you again. They said that would be the only way they would let me throw the dice. I knocked the dice so the 7 wasn't on top but tossed them without setting them and they said I could no longer throw the dice. In retrospect I should have told everyone to lay the 5 and just rolled the dice as they were given to me so they all won on the 7 they were trying to make me roll. Later in the trip it happened again at a fourth casino but it was the more traditional passing the dice by me backoff. We were the only ones playing so everyone else passed the dice back to me at which point they said that I was banned from throwing the dice. We left. The crew made hundreds of thousands that week between 6 high rollers. That was a long time ago when that was a lot of money. I made a little for my small action and got free air and high limit suite RFB and tickets to any shows I wanted. At the end of the trip each HR tipped me hundreds to thousands. I didn't have much money and was always staked to throw the dice in the beginning. I had to win to make money so I examined how the dice are designed and came up with trying to keep the dice on axis to have 16 combinations of the 32 come up a lot more than the other 20. I learned to concentrate on throwing winners rather than avoiding the 7. My control was weak on one die and very strong on the other so I concentrated on throwing the 6 and 8. It was never really gambling for me as long as I maintained a high skill level. I was taken care of by those that gambled for big money when I was the shooter. I was probably the most on of my career as a dice controller on that trip.

I find this so shocking, you seem like a guy so solidified by mathematics, to even try to DI or even suggest it "could" work, I never dreamed of you tossing them. I did the same thing for a long while, so I kind of understand the treatment you refer, and the company you kept, but I had only gotten as far as having the dice pulled from me, and the next day having my picture spread to all employees who dealt craps saying "Make sure this guy hits the back wall". My partners and I did it more or less as a way of milking comps for all they were worth on certain days, which involved a lot of live experimentation that eventually found 2 out of the 4 of us were able to more frequently roll a specific set of results than the others, so we'd work a kind of hedge deal between four players to get us "up" on a roll. Wasn't the greatest gig of all, but I didn't tire from eating free steak every couple nights.

That's really interesting T3, I guess I was wrong about you all along.

re: comp points being "zeroed out" pursuant to a back-off:

In one case I had a nasty trespassing, and I had > $4,000

in comp points, with an array of
    merchandise to purchase.

In all of my experiences being shown the (casino) doors, my

comp' account, (if there was one), was always quickly set to

ZERO. Amusingly, when the smoke cleared, I checked on-line

perhaps 12 hrs. later I checked on-line and my points balance

was intact. I snuck back onto property and I walked away with

    that $4,000 in hard comps.
