    blackjackinfo.com Forums Re-opened for Posting

This came up on another thread, but I thought it warranted it's own announcement/thread ...

Ken Smith recently sold blackjackinfo.com and blackjacktournaments.com. I see now that he announced the re-opening of the forums at blackjackinfo.com for posting 2 days ago.

And not yet a single new post... Why was it closed off in the first place anyway? (Yes, I'm a n00b.)

Clearly this has not yet been widely advertised.

It was closed because ken got tired of dealing with all of the bullshit that goes along with running a forum.

I guess Joshua is buying up all the forums. Well, almost all.

Norm, here's your opportunity to have a peaceful life.

However, I don't get it. Seems to me that, like casinos in AC, the demand for BJ forums is currently met

I guess online casino ads still pay well, and forums pull in gamblers. I get two or three requests a day to include casino ads here.

Unfortunately, one can never go home again, or to put another way, it would be hard to recapture the magic... at least 'till all the churlish behavior got out of hand

Churlish is a fine term, uniquely suited to this situation.

It means: "Rude in a mean-spirited and surly way."

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
