I still think that getting information on license plates might be easy for police officers but full of all kind of legal and privacy issues for casinos to be regularly involved in.
The point isn't keeping your name from them. Its being able to play again. You leave and they tag your plate as an AP plate in the AP license plate data base. You drive 2 hours to the next casino where you have never been before and get backed off in the parking lot. Or they watch you like a hawk. Why? Because your license plate was scanned when you entered the property at the casino a couple counties away. The heat has nothing to do with your ID but the car you drive or more accurately the license plate. Like I said some AP's get around this by taking paid transportation to and from the casino. Or parking nearby and walking. The idea of not giving ID is to protect your playing future. Your car tags are easier for them to use because they know you are there before you even enter the casino.

    Good post and info Ryemo----

I didn't quote entire statement for brevity but let me add one more corollary to your "It Depends" theme and post. It also depends upon specific shifts and casino pit supervisor/bosses/critters. Some are more tolerant than others within the same house. For example it seems we have one here that just "loves" to back off suspected counters. They are not barred; but he enjoys catching them "just because" he has been overheard to say. So avoidance of his shift would bode well. So networking AND observation go a long ways to longevity.

I agree. It's important to be aware of which bosses are sharp and which ones are clueless. If it's a shop that you frequent, I would advise that you take notes on which pit critters should be avoided and which ones are considered "safe." With that said though, just remember that it's the EITS that makes the ultimate decision.

You must be some real ( hi-stakes and well known) card sharp if your sweating car rental companies sharing info with casinos. Let alone casinos running a plate number when your vehicle enters a casino parking area.

By the way. For any unrated, chunky green to lite black chip player. BJ may not be your best option.

I can attest to having witnessed (2.5 yrs. ago) a PRO (team) player get escorted off the property
at a (small rural NorthEastern) casino ~ because he stepped out of a car driven by a better-known
professional player's car. He was met as he entered the casino perhaps two minute later !

And this allows you to conclude that its because of a license plate. Maybe he had played solo at that casino in the past and had been identified, maybe he was already in the OSN or flyered, I dont know.

The FBI isn't necessary. Surveillance and security are buddy buddy with state and local police. They just have state police call the car rental company. At many Tribal casinos state police are on the property or are gaming agents.

No conclusion was drawn. He (and the driver) were told that that was the case.
I told you that I WITNESSED it.
I know that English is not your primary language, but stop talking gibberish.

Based on what I've seen from my own OSN profile and from what I've been told by a friend of mine who works at a casino, I'm no longer surprised at what lengths a casino will go to, driven by their over-paranoia.

Ive had security follow me out to the parking lot at Las Vegas casino to write down my license plate number. You also don't need to be a high-stakes player to receive this type of treatment either.

When I'm in Vegas, I use a rental car and valet - not protocol on the valet, but I have my reasons. Also have a legal credit card with a last name not my own, which matches the name I use at valet.

I am curious as to the other lengths you mention due to casino paranoia.

This is a frequent reality! OSN has lots of vehicle in the player entries with the comment that they are registered to a ???name???.

Surveillance calls the police and ask them to run the plate, which they do in most jurisdictions and provide casino with registration data on the car.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!
