    Counting With Software: Question

(As an aside, I appreciate this forum and the help everyone gives). I've started practicing card counting with software and realized, the deck is probably being virtually shuffled every time (duh). Is there software that duplicates a single, double or 4 to 6 deck shoe? I tried doing a search on this forum and couldn't find the answer. I have a MAC platform and realize the options are limited.

    Second question:
I hope it's okay to ask two questions. I've trying to figure out, what are people talking about when they use the acronym "PA." I think it's Pennsylvania rules. (Is that right?) If so, is there an easy way to find out current Penn rules w/o reading the statues? Thanks again.

Casino verite gives you several choices including number of decks, rules etc. Others can advise how to make it work on a Mac, though I have a version that works well enough on my iPad.

Where are u from? Sounds like you're a rookie. Though rules are better in PEnnsylvania, wouldn't suggest any meaningful travel to get there if playing lower stakes and just learning. Just try to season yourself in your own local market or close by. If you give us some particulars, we can make some further suggestions.

Particulars: Blackhawk is relatively close--and while I haven't studied every casino there, I was there some weeks ago, for the good part of a day and I wasn't thrilled with the rules - but I couldn't quote you chapter and verse.

Since the dealer has already revealed his hole card, and he has 18, why does it say "Dealer Count: ?"?

    You're welcome!
