    Question Current Conditions

Hi everybody. I am new here. I have been playing 21 for about 6 years. I am currently a basic strategy player, but practicing (slowly) to become an advantage player. The reason for this post is because I cannot find a good resource on current playing conditions. Anywhere. I'm taking my first trip to Vegas next week. I was wondering if anyone could point me to a website that has a good analysis of current rule variations, promotions etc at different casinos.

Thanks in in advance for any help

Is there a resource for promotions at different casinos? Kind of a comp users guide, if you will, that's reputable?

I've always thought Anthony Curtis' site, Las Vegas Advisor was good for this. Both online and through subscription. American Casino Guide's website also has good info but probably nowhere near as current as LVA. Just my 'two cents' worth

Thanks for the responses. CBJN looks like what I was looking for. It appears someone from pi yee press has to email it? Anyway to gain immediate access to the newsletter?

Buy it and you should receive it shortly afterwards. CBJN is a must for me. I subscribe annually and receive a new issue on the 3rd or 4th of each month. I would at least buy one issue at the very least. It's worth it.

Should I expect to receive it today (being a weekend?)? I will only be in town through Tuesday.

That I don't know. I think you'll gain immediate access through their website, but it won't be in the form of a PDF file. If you email Al (administrator), I imagine he would get in contact with you soon. It's $17. You don't have much to lose.

The reality is unless you have a car in Vegas the strip offers horrendous blackjack games for the most part. Mostly 6:5 garbage and the games that aren't 6:5 are 8 decks $25 min on the weekends. You'll need a car in Vegas if you want to find some lower limit 3:2 blackjack.

If you've never been to Vegas before you can spend a night downtown signing up for players cards at most of the casinos as plenty of them offer decent sign up deals that involve slots and blackjack. You can generally make a few bucks and enjoy some entertainment while casino hopping. Also downtown is the El Cortez that offers $5 min single deck 3:2 blackjack.

Since you say you are just playing basic strategy I don't see any reason to subscribe to CBJN. Just try to stick to basic strategy find some 3:2 blackjack and enjoy your trip and if you're lucky and variance is on your side you might come out ahead.

Only at higher stakes than a nickel player can consider.
