    A7 vs dealer Ace?

So I'm using the Zen Count w/true count indices as my playing strategy. But I noticed that, in the true count indices, it says to stay on a soft eighteen vs dealer ace.
Also in Blackbelt in BJ, the BS chart at the end says to not double down on a A7 vs a dealer 2.
Are these plays correct because most BS charts i've found contradict this.

this is the url for the True count indices

I hit soft 18 v ace, except when taking insurance. Wongs PBJ, Playing Halves, says to double is A7 v 2 at 0. I prefer a tad stronger.

No, the chart is wrong. Hit Soft 18 v. A.

If you're playing Stand on Soft 17, basic strategy is not to double against a 2, and there is low index to stand against the Ace. If you're playing Hit on Soft 17, basic strategy is to double against the 2, and always hit against the Ace.

Depending on the counting system, Hit Soft 18 v. A on negative TC, 0 and +1. If TC is +2 or higher, stand on Soft 18 v. A.

The index is never higher than +1 nor lower than 0. There is no index within reason for H17; if one exists, it's probably going to be in the realm of +30.

An important note for all newbies.

    Basic Strategy dictates hitting your

    SOFT 18 (Ace-7) against 9, 10, Ace

Failing to do so against the 9 and 10

is a costly error, but not against the

    Ace in a S17 game.

That's what I thought. He probably means he uses the insurance index to stand, and makes his decision prior to the hand being fully dealt. Hope he's not playing H17.
