    Heat In BJ Verite

    Norm:

I am playing double deck in BJ Verite and trying to get as much spread as I can. Of course when I do a large jump in my bet the heat indicators go way up. Does it ever reach a point in the software where if in a real casino they would be ready to ask me not to play? I am trying to get a correlation between software heat indicators and reality. Trying to get a 1 - 8 spread causes the indicators to go crazy.

The reason I am playing double deck is that is my game of choice. I am a weekender trying to have my fun but still not lose my panties.

By the way, is there an option that I haven't found that will deal the other players first two cards down in the way they are dealt in a casino? I find it difficult not to peek when I am counting the cards

    Thanks

    Ted

Heat in real life is quite variable. You get the tap at some places for taking a deep breath while others wait until they both know you are counting and you have been successful enough to prove yourself to be a counter that is a threat rather than a failing counter that is a huge cash cow.

Yes I understand that. I was playing at a table early one Sunday morning. There was a person at the table who quite clearly didn't know what the game was about. Another fellow and I were trying to help this man when the pit boss came over laughing because the sky had called her, sure that the guy was up to something. She actually had to explain to them what was going on. This is all to illustrate what you were saying about the variables of it all. But I am still looking for some kind of parallel between the software and, let's call it Average Reality. Kind of like, "Hey dude, when both are pegged you are history".
