    Full time play and SCORE

Yes its a very broad and general question and we all know low SCORE games can be better than high SCORE games due to the store being more tolerant and letting you play longer, but for the sake of discussion, what range would you want your SCORE to be if you were going to play professionally? 50-70? 90-110? 30-50?

Again I know its a general question, but would like to hear what exactly would be a playable game to all of you if you wanted to go pro at this. Also with that being said and I know N0 goes together with SCORE, post up what kind of N0 you would like to have and what kind of N0 would be a respectable amount for a long term player who makes his living from counting? 8k-10k? 10-12k? 12-16k? Would 20k be too much?

You play the highest SCORE games you have available to you, what else can you do?

Playable is different for everyone. I'm not gonna play a 50 SCORE shoe game (at least not if I can help it). I'll be playing a 90-120 SCORE pitch game.

Others will play a 30 SCORE game because that's the only way they can get the money down.

Ya gotta figure out what you're comfortable with.

This is a complex issue. Games with very high scores are often surveilled very closely.
Very often those games are "counter traps" and/or are only offered at high stakes.

As a veteran Professional Player I can tell you that "effective" play is a "grind"

One seeks to win a "polite" amount while spreading and betting "politely"

while playing at different venues / different stores / different shifts.

The "stakes are high" as so to speak.

I too err on the conservative side.

Casinos vary a lot as to their "choke points."

In most cases I do not want to win over

$1,000 daily in any one casino. In small

stores I may reduce that to $500.

How much are you willing to lose at those joints?

I like to put in place loss limits instead of win limits. Loss limits protect me in case I am getting cheated and they help fool the casino into thinking I am a losing player. Plus virtually every gambler makes worse decisions if they are stuck, especially if they are stuck 'a lot'. Alternatively you can simply play w/ time limits instead of win or loss limits, and that is a very reasonable approach for longevity so long as you did not incur significant expense getting to the game, but I prefer to grind it out when conditions are optimal, even at the potential expense of long term longevity. Some casinos will let you play almost indefinitely.

I have no loss limit. My "quitting point" when losing, is determined by
my energy level, the presence of heat, changes in table conditions, etc.

Meistro123, the good part of using loss limits is that, otherwise you may win back all of your loss, plus heaven forbid turns into a winning session depriving the casino of a win, which needs to happen periodically. I wouldn't worry about being cheated as the chances of this happening are very rare today considering the consequences of getting caught. Showing a loss does not fool the casino into thinking you are a losing player, unless you are showing a number of consistent losing sessions that out number wins monetary on the books. A big problem with not having a win limit is that a nice decent win just may turn into a very memorable win, not good for longevity purposes.

Thankfully, and hopefully their are no GAMBLERS on the web site !

Meistro123, What is your definition of grind it out when conditions are optimal? Did you mean putting in more time at the tables? What is your definition of optimal conditions?

When conditions are optimal for me, I am on full offensive mode, white rabbit style.

Optimal conditions are fairly obvious. Penetration, you want fewer cards cut off. Players at the table, you want heads up. Heat, you want no heat. Rules, you want better rules. Winning or losing, you want to be winning.

Their indicates possession. They live in their house. For this sentence 'there' is appropriate. But of course there are many gamblers on this site. A gambler is simply someone who makes gambles. And if we don't make gambles, then why are we here studying how to count cards? The difference is that we are skillful gamblers who make +EV wagers, but we are still gamblers. We still gamble.
