    card counting coaching

hello everyone, I am a former high stakes professional blackjack player who would like to offer individualized coaching on how to count cards using hi-lo for $15 / hr. My services include drills, consultation / planning for casino trips (evaluating the strength of various games, constructing bet spreads, trip itineraries etc.) and skill checks via webcam to ensure that you are casino ready.

An accomplished counter who would not settle for $15 an hour at the casino, willing to teach someone for $15 per hour?

ZeeBabar describes himself as "accomplished" !
What a joke that is. Will vanity ever cease to be
    .

My most SINCERE apology for misreading ZeeBabar's post.

Indeed, I fully agree with his comment.

If he is "accomplished" his time is worth far more than $15 an hour.

Of course, a comprehensive course in Hi-Lo takes next to no time at all.

of course, stakes have nothing to do with skill level, but, just curious, why did you quit?

Not so much quit as temporarily out of money.

The problem with that is I can teach you Hi-Lo in about 12 minutes for free and then for the cost of a book or two you can go beyond that, although at $15 an hour that's a bargain compared to people hustling to teach nothing more than Hi-Lo for considerably more.

I believe that, if I were to hire a coach, it would include watching me play and calling my mistakes, giving me advice on bankroll management, attire, etiquette, etc... As Tarzan says, learning the basics takes minutes. Memorizing basic strategy a few hours. Followed by weeks of exercises on CVBJ, one hour a day. But a coach can definitely bring useful things to the table -pun intended- that you could not figure out on your own.

Sure, you can teach yourself. That is how I learned, mostly through forums and personal experience at the tables. The information is out there. But the problem is, you don't know what you don't know. Hiring a coach can be a good way to ameliorate the learning curve. A lot of people would rather spend $15 than invest hours of their time researching to try to find out what they need to learn next. There is a very high skill ceiling in advantage gambling. It could take someone years of stumbling around in the darkness to learn what I could teach them in days or weeks.

A monkey can learn to count cards. I don't see how anyone who is really interested would be "stumbling around in the darkness for years."

So you are going to teach how to run out of money also? Seems in-congruent to the problem. As the old adage says, "those who can do and those who can't teach"?
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!
