Casino Over Under® is up and running

Casino Over Under® was created to act as a softer option to BJ. It's very easy and the odds are favorable assuming the number of decks snd/or pay tables aren't modified. It is presently at Magnolia Bluffs Casino; Natchez, MS. There is also a free app in the AppStore. If you play it or have played it I always appreciate feedback.

The game should be analyzed. If the game was analyzed by Don Catlin for the designer; the analysis was likely incorrect.

Is the game dealt from a CSM?

The advertisement shows a 6D shoe. I don't know about Magnolia Bluffs.

I assume the ad is a mockup as there is no casino name on the chips or layout.

Hello everyone. The game has been approved for a field trial which has commenced last week at Magnolia Bluffs Casino. In order to get to that point I had to pass a background check, submit my IP and the game had to be approved by GLI. GLI, Catlin and also Joe Shipman all analyzed the game and they all agree. The game is about as simple as they come.

It was created to act as a soft option to BJ. A starter game for beginners or for people that like quick table games that are easy to play optimally and have a low HA. Presently, the game is being played w six decks which yields a HA of 1.1% per all three of the reports. I'm not sure how long we will go with the HA so low. Switching to single deck jacks it up to 2.5%. That is coming in the near future. The hands per hour rate is higher/faster than BJ. Non-intimidation was always at the forefront of the creative process. No players decision can impact another player's outcome. The bonus is simple and a casino can make the HA whatever they wish just by playing with the paytables. According to Shipman it is comparable to BJ with regards to card counting. For those that don't know SHipman was the head of math at GLI for a number of years. There are three reports b/c I actually came up with the idea 20 years ago. It took me almost ten to decide to get the numbers ran and I had Catlin do it initially. After getting the report I considered going for it back then but then decided I could not afford it so I kept it under wraps. Finally, last year I decided to go for it so I paid for an IP search, got my IP then released an app in the appstore. I applied for a license in Mississippi and just got the approval for the field trial a few weeks ago. I am talking to a number of other casinos including ROyal Caribbean about a field trial this summer and a few on the strip.

It's a very easy game but if you are looking to be challenged this isn't the game for you. FOr me, I love BJ but I don't consider it challenging b/c I literally play with the optimal play chart right in front of me and stick to it firmly.

You start the action by placing an ante. You also have the option of placing a bonus wager at that time. Once those bets are placed the dealers deals every player one card face up. The dealer then asks "over or under?" To play th over or under you match the ante and place those chips in either the over or under circle. The summation of the three cards decides both games. Aces are always 11. The base game pays even money and your options are over 23 or under 18. The bonus hits when you get a total that is really high (27-33) or really low (6-12). Presently, they are using the same pay table as I use on the app. I have another one where the top payout is 500 to 1. Of course when you do that you have to make up for it by reducing or eliminating others.

    Pretty easy right?

Here's a pic after it launched as my other one was taken prior to the launch.

Good eye about the chips missing in the last pic.

Hmmm, what would James Grosjean do? Optimal strategy could be mapped out. I didn't see the exact bonus schedule other than that spiffy 33 gets you 50:1. It looks like an interesting game!

So if you get a 19,20,21,22 I guess that loses? Pushes?
