    6-7-8 bonus

One of my local places is running a promo where suited 6-7-8 gets paid 10 to 1. Most of my books are packed away, and Google seems to be failing me this morning. My gut feeling is that this is a nice bonus, but I can't quantify how nice. 6D, H17, DAS, RSA, no surrender.

    Don't get to excited.
Assume this is a promo on the main bet, and not a side bet. You didn't say wheather the 678 was your hand only, or your first 2 cards with dealer upcard.

Assume with dealer upcard. With average speed, looks like about once every 58 hours. Off the top bonus looks something like this. If there are a total of 72 678, the odds your first card is any 678 has a 72/312. Assume spade 6. There are 12 remaining spade 7,8 in the deck, therefore odds of a dealer spade 7,8 are 12/311. Assume spade 7. There are 6 remaining spade 8's in the deck. Odds of catching are 6/310.

    So, 72/312 x 12/311 x 6/310 = 5184/30079920 or once every 5802 hands.

Thanks, Freightman. Yes, bonus on main bet, no side bet required. 678 on your three cards only.

Using my count with a (9) side count I could really pound on that, a juicy bonus if I ever saw one!

Using a pen and paper, I got a 0.0017 advantage for this promotion which is not likely to change the house edge (-.06) much for this game.

Gentlemen ,at my store they have whats called lucky lucky.
suited 777 . a combination of yours and the dealers hand is what were talking about pays 200 to 1
678 pays like 100 to 1 and if its unsuited you sill get paid alot ive been researching how to beat it.
I could be wrong on those payouts but I think I'm not.
I use hi/lo so it goes against everything I know . but its beatable

everything else from total of 19 and up pays also.
its the side bet and lets say you have 11 and dealer has an 8 then youll be reciveing I think 2-1....
    total of 20 is (I think )3-1 ....
    max bet $50

since posting this Ive realized that youre not talking about a side bet. anywho

Lucky Lucky bet needs a special count that tracks 7,8, 9 and aces. You can find it in APheat.com by Elliot Jacobson. My understanding that the pay out has been reduced. One of Elliot great contributions to help out poor casinos that fall victims to vicious APs use of brain
