I think I'd love to see everybody's experience regarding counter measures in general between reduction in penetration, the man with a suit analyzing your game, the ridiculously fast dealer (hey, I'll take a challenge any day, miss), the dude showing up from behind the woodwork and giving a mean look...

These days I'm hiding in the poker room.

Who answered yes to thrown in with the tigers? and how did you make it out alive?

For me the detention/physical assault/arrest was all one backoff.
If the tiger cage=jail put a tally on there for me.

They asked me to go to the back first but I did not select "request to backroom" because I made it back there eventually.

A couple of interesting notes on my backoffs:

Twice a shift manager has politely tried to pull me away from the table to talk to me - so I basically ran out the doors on them. One was a guy I used to work with he was yelling "I'm not going to chase you!"
-thanks buddy cuz I'm not stoppin'!

I mark whether the backoff was "friendly" or not.
    I have 6 yes. 1 eh. 1 no.

Something I noticed when countermeasures are put in place in MO:
They slowly reduced the pen on me to about 1 out of 2 decks until I got up from the table (usually to call and get a new ramp from a partner) and when I returned I would only get two hands or so.

E: jail/arrest was obviously not a direct result of counting, but, in my opinion, a trumped - up charge, that stemmed from counting.

What were the allegations used to justify detention and arrest. Did u instigate anything to provoke the physical assault - and what was the extent if that assault. Any legal action pending with regards to the issue.

Only what you're comfortable in disclosing. Interesting shit.

I'm not sure what I should or shouldn't say in public as I have not found a lawyer.

I will send you a PM with some details as you are a respected member of the community. If I don't send it to you soon you'll have it by tomorrow.

I had 1 half shoeing that was actually pretty funny. The lady critter leans backwards into the dealers ear whispering something - I up know exactly what's going in, of course, but still ask the dealer - what was that about - nothing he said. Naturally, the next shoe goes from 1.25/6 to 3/6. I commented to the dealer - I don't feel the love. He started laughing. He gave me 2 shoes at 3/6, then slips up, on purpose to give me 1.25/6. It was a nice shoe.

I had two similar (kind of) experiences in MO.

At Hollywood the dealer was told to cut about 1.5 off of two decks, so I sat that shoe out. Next shoe he forgets. As I put my bet in the circle he has a "deer in the headlights" look, but didn't bother to call the floor.

Next day at Ameristar I'm playing and the dealer is giving me about 3 hands after quite a while, and after I had gotten up to get a new ramp.

I have nothing else to do so I just sit out and chill at the table for a few minutes. I noticed one spot open on the other 2 deck game that was just getting ready to start. I stand up and toss a chip onto the table from about 6-8 ft back, it bounces off the spot and almost into the tray. I apologize and put it in the betting circle.

Just so happens I caught good shoes both times and made about 1500 each.
    It was so satisfying.

Thanks for the email. Definitely get legal advice before commenting further. Interesting.

    it was Roy....

backoffs are always two suits tapping me and asking to speak with me b4 my next hand...."we evaluated your play, and you are too good...we are not taking your action here anymore"...plenty of times I had PCs rifle through the discard tray DURING play....hahaha.....had them also try to whisper to the deal about cutting deeper....and one time at a relatively newly opened joint the dealer blurted out, "you want me to cut more off?!?"....too funny

I was dealing blackjack (double deck) one day. During a break, boss told me to cut off 1/3, because lots of card-counters had been playing there recently (mhmm, I'm sure). She meant 1/3 of the 2 decks (ie: 1.33 decks of play). I may have been a bit biased in my interpretation...and interpreted it as 1/3 of 1 deck....so yeah, I was cutting off 17-20 cards, sometimes fewer (once I cut off like 8 or 9 cards lol). Oh boy, was she in for a surprise when she came around to check on the pit and seeing me dealing out 90-something % penetration. She had me immediately shuffle, then she puts the cut-card in at about 40-45% from the front I'd say (40-45% to be played, 55-60% behind the cut card). Honestly, mostly did it because I hated shuffling, and we were required to yell at "shuffle!", and wait for an "OK, shuffle - go ahead!" from whoever's in charge of the pit...and the f***er usually wouldn't be paying attention or they'd be off getting a cup of coffee or a drink. Plus....I thought it was kinda funny dealing out 90 out of 104 cards.
