    How long can you last?

Playing 2x50-2x400 playing a full wong in game at +1 and wonging out at 0.5 playing 1 hour each store and always varying casino shift? Is 2x400 too steep? What about 2x300? Please no generic answers on it depends on every store and that each have their own tolerance levels, etc.

Not enough information is provided. How many decks are in play, how many tables are being used, what is the crowd conditions/are you the only person standing around not playing, and are your bets blending in with what the other players are betting in the pit.

Sorry, but it does depend on the above quote.

8 decks and a lot of tables for the most part. About 5-6 stores and the only games I will play are the 8 deckers which have pretty good rules, S17, DAS, LS, about 82% pen. I will avoid trying to be the only one not playing, but not too worried about that because i will hit them and leave no more than 1 hour stay in each store. Not worried about blending in either, but of course I will try to.

Those are pretty good games, especially if they keep the tables open when the crowd does not warrant doing so. One hour wonging in and out is in fact a long period of time, and you should give this more serious consideration, especially crowd conditions. Betting levels is also very important in that a blending in approach is much more preferable than being one of the bigger bettors on the table and in the pit.

This is not what I thought this thread would be about...

5-6 stores and different shifts you should be fair on your way. Each store is going to have individual thresholds and tolerances that you'll have to find out and adjust for. For this, you might want to start at your lower numbers, see how it's received, and then press up if you feel you can. One store might hate you for betting 2x200, while another might let you bet 2x600 and not blink an eye.

    To BoSox

Well considering I have been wonging in and out at these stores for 6+ hours straight every trip at 2x25-2x150 and never got any heat, I think I will be fine with just 1 hour at 2x400.

What do you mean 'fair on my way'

If this is full Wonging, you absolutely don't need and shouldn't employ a 1-8 spread. Check the chapter 10 charts in BJA3 to see that, even 1-3 or 1-4 give almost identical results. The wider spread does virtually nothing for a back-counting game.

    Don

Assuming your bank is adequately sized for these bet sizes, I would suggest enter at TC+2 and out at TC-1 and bet 2X400 flat bet, fundamentally avoiding any "ramping" unless the count goes below your entry point. There is no one size bet tolerance that fits all but moving from black chips to purple chips will attract a higher level of observation. Staying below table max is also important. If this is the procedure you will only play 15-20 rounds per shoe unless you linger at <TC0. If the count drops to -1 place one bet and play until you lose it or the count recovers to at least your wong in point.

IMHO your surveillance exposure is more about back counting (if you are) than about your bets at this level. Using spotters is much safer.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!
