Hole card rules and discard tray drills.

    Norm,

Are there any plans to include BB+1 and OBBO as options in CVBJ in the near future? CV Data already supports them.

As the program also supports Spanish 21 rules, I would like to suggest the discard tray drills include an option for 48 card decks.

BB+1 and OBBO make sense. Just have to find some time. 48 card decks in the drills is an enormous amount of work to do correctly. I currently allow you to thicken the cards as some casinos use thicker cards and some don't change them often, causing them to stack more thickly. I could change that to also allow thinning the images vertically.

Discard tray drills - if you could provide an option to thin the vertical images it would be beneficial. The point is in a 8 deck game after 6 decks have been dealt there is almost half a deck difference in height between Spanish and French decks.

Hole card rules - I'm surprised this has not been raised before. In any case it would be a worthwhile addition to CVBJ. To break it down further the hole card rules I am aware of are:

    OBO(American)
    ENHC(European)
    BB+1(Australian)
    OBBO(Australian/Literal)

There are 2 forms of OBBO:

Australian - after removing all busted bets it is the loss of one bet per hand when a player doubles/splits and the dealer has BJ.

Literal - an uncommon rule where the first hand in a split is considered to be the original bet so if it busts no other bets are collected. If it does not bust and regardless of doubling then only one bet is collected if the dealer has BJ.
