    When playing in Pennsylvania which casino will you play in?

    There are about 12 casinos in the Pennsylvania area one is about to open up soon. Which casino would you play in if you are playing Blackjack in Pennsylvania. The Meadows, Sands and Harrah Chester I would choose. The Meadows has the best shoe games but it take six hours to get there. The Sands has a very good double deck blackjack with good rules. Harrah Chester offer eight deck blackjack with deep penetration. Mohegan Sun in Pocono Downs has variety of six deck blackjack game with S17,DAS,LS but their penetration is bad.

    My business travels take me to Pittsburgh quite often and I visit the Meadows about once a month. They do have great rules: 6-deck, S17, DOA, DAS, LS with $10 and $15 min tables. But the pen varies widely. One day they were dealing >5/6 and the next time it was 4/6 and the next maybe 4.5/6. So I suppose it takes some knowledge re: what dealers and shift, etc. allow for the good pen. You'd hate to drive 6 hours to get there on a 4/6 pen day.

    As for heat, I've encountered no problems yet, but my max bet there has been 2 x $100 on the $10 game and 2 x $150 on the $15 game, so maybe flying under the radar...

    Don't expect honest answers. I have found AP's protect the best games in the state of S17,DAS,LS BJ. When people say don't bother showing up what I find when I do doesn't match their descriptions. But what I am looking for is not the same as what people using more commonly used counts look for.

    In my opinion Sugar House in Philly sucks! I went there one time for scouting and never went back again. Their eight blackjack games are not playable. Their six deck blackjack in the high limit pit is okay! People often get rob there after playing.

    It will require a car to scout the blackjack games in Pennsylvania the casinos are so far apart. The public transportation at the Pocono Downs stop in the afternoon.

    seriousplayer and I both have a narrow perspective it would seem.

    The 8 deckers are marginal at best; but the $50 and $100 games
    in the High Limit room are quite good; and while the pen' is "dealer
    dependent", finding a one deck cut is commonplace, as long as you
    drop some small, (but not infrequent), tokes.

    Meadows has a pretty decent game, but as stated, is dealer dependent on pen. Recently it has become sweaty, so if you play >/= 300, I wouldn't expect to last long.

    old thread but when did sands get rid of dd and how good was the pen?

    i was there for a few days this week and they had a lot of 6 deck games with 25 min. saturday night those were all 50 and 100 min which made sense at 10 pm when it was packed but at 4 am almost all the tables had the dealers standing there with no players and they wouldn't lower the mins.seems pretty dumb.
