I'm not familiar with OSN or Biometrica, so take the following with a grain of salt.

Does OSN only operate based on names? If so, couldn't one get a name change?

With Biometrica, from what I understand, is that it's facial recognition. (Today's) Facial recognition is really easy to defeat, even without plastic surgery.

you really gunna change ur name as a recreational player or small time bro just to play some blackjack. I was kidding in my above lost, everyone gets put in databases. Just put ur balls on the table and grind, if the casino has to back you off so be it then u put ur balls on the table at the next casino.

I personally am not. But if someone is a full time AP, it's not outside the realm of possibilities, is it?

Almost every single professional blackjack player I know is in OSN and Biometrica. It can serve as a minor annoyance but it certainly won’t bring your AP career to a halt.

You did say - put your balls on the table.

Should get me a negative vote.

I'll always upvote/thumbs up that TV show. One of the best shows in the last several years, in my opinion. Also extremely accurate with regards to the tech. (Except middle-out...)

Ignorance again. Check Ryemo,s post #7. It does not matter much. So some risky dink casino thinks some ploppy is an AP and put him in OSN, does the major casinos suddenly dump the ploppy? Nope. Many choose to do their own evaluation. Moreover, every time someone walks into a casino and sits down at a table, they don’t run over to the database and start checking the thousands in OSN.

As Ryemo says, most AP’s are in OSN. Me, a mediocre, low stakes recreational counter is also in the OSN. It has not hurt me, I still get comps, play anywhere with ease.

Wow, I guess I should have stopped 6 years ago.

This is blatantly wrong...............Learn how to be an AP, not just how to count.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!

You are right about this issue but I’m quoting you for a different reason. I was backed off some time ago and want to see if my name is in a database. I’m planning on getting a player’s card at a local casino and this could deter that. Do you have any way to check any databases? I appreciate your time.

I don’t believe they check databases anytime some ploppy requests a Players Card. You can get a card. However, if you are careless with how you play with the card, they will check the database and see if your picture is in it. You can’t start winning 10 sessions in a row, playing marathon sessions counting cards, playing high stakes, winning in 4 figures at sessions, winning beyond a certain point within a certain time frame, etc. Many chains have some sort of algorithm where if you win at a certain rate or certain amount, your name pops up as someone to observe and/or check on in databases.
