Thread: ID in OSN database

    ID in OSN database

I was banned from a casino a while ago and probably put in the OSN database. If the casino had my driver's license, I am wondering if my license would also go into the database.

If I use my same driver's license to get a player's card at another casino where I have never been before, is it likely that they would have negative info on me right away just because I used the same ID to get a player's card?

If you are in OSN it doesn't matter if your ID is in there or not.So what i'm saying is whether you use the same ID or a different one doesn't make a difference.
Why do you think you were put in Osn.Just because you were banned doesn't automatically mean you get put in OSN.

I think I was put in OSN because they took my picture and told me my info would probably be shared with other casinos.

What I am thinking is if I moved to a different state and got an ID there, it might be really difficult to link me to anything in OSN since I have a common name. But I don't know if any of that is even necessary. I am wondering if just getting a player's card and using it at a new place would set off any triggers if I never had any problems with that chain before.

You may be in OSN, if you contact me via PM perhaps I can confirm. In some cases, OSN will include a photo of your drivers license (if not, then the pertinent info from your license), your photo, a photo of your car, a photo of your car license tag, photo of anyone associated with you (and they may get included in the database) and a description of the terrible thing that you did that makes you an unsavory character worthy of disdain. Like betting using a spread of 25 -300 on a DD game on the strip. You naughty boy!

Checking OSN for a player usually occurs when the pit ask surveillance to check out a player. It is not normal protocol to check in OSN just because you gave them a players card. I am in OSN and can play at most places but I do not play rated and I do not play long sessions. I believe some places have facial recognition that is linked to OSN (or Biometrica) database and they will ID you as soon as you get on the property. This type of thing happened to me at SLS without playing.

It is virtually impossible to get your entry removed.

In SLS it happened to me after I gave them my card on the baccarat table. I had never played there before. The pit person looked at the computer and said to another guy; this (assuming card counting) is not relevant in this game. He said no but call the shift manager. So, I left but made me think that they have software linked to database. Not sure which database I am in though. Do you have access to some of them?

I will try to remember you Stealth if things start to heat up. I try hard to avoid getting in one of the networks but unfortunately even a ploppy can end up in one so I know I can.

Banker, was this an anomaly? Are you able to use a card at other casinos without problems? I wonder if being in OSN could put you on casinos' Do Not Invite lists at places where you haven't even counted before.

Usually casino marketing and the pit and EITS do not communicate well. You will still get invites most likely but they may not honor them on your arrival. It varies by casino. If you do try to respond to an invite I would have a plan B ready incase they invite evaporates shortly after arrival. The fine print on the invites say they can be changed without notice.

No not an anomaly. I got backed off at several casinos from different parts of the country once they swiped my card. It was until that experience in SLS ( in which I had not played before) confirmed to me that it was due to a database issue. I know for fact that at least at MGM, I am on "no promotion" list no matter how much I play VP or slots. Obviously, no BJ.

I am in a similar but less damning predicament. I won’t give all the details, but I was backed off after spreading 1-15 as a red-chipper and flat betting almost the entire time (they were a bit sweaty). I would have brushed it off but I’m concerned about the fact that they scan everyone’s ID’s at the front door and they scanned mine. I am looking to now get a player’s card at a place five minutes away that is my main casino I’m concerned that because of my previous encounter, my play could be cut short (because the casino shared the info or if I’m in OSN or something). I’m open to any advice as to what to do.
