Simulation data: single deck or help.

I ran some single deck simulations using CVDATA and CVCX. First, I generate 100+ indices for the KO/REKO strategy using the index generator in CVData by selecting every indices to generated. Then I ran a simulation using CVCX for the game rules Single Deck H17, DAS and Single Deck H17 NDAS both for double on any card.

Setting up the simulation parameters and rules as follows:

    Rounds per shoe:0
    Burn cards:1
    Shuffle Point: 20
    Decks: 1
    Hands per hour: 100
    Players : 1
    Players come and go:0
    Your seat: 3
    TC Calculation: Flooring

    Rules:
    Blackjack pays 3 to 2
    Cards dealt face down
    DD on 2 cards
    DD on any Hard hand
    DD on any Soft Hand
    Dealer hit Soft 17
    Dealer peek on Ace
    Insurance
    Split to 4 hands

When I looked and analyzed the simulation after it was completed. KO beats
    Hi-Lo- full in a single-deck game.

    Below are my sim results

Hi-lo vs KO in Single Deck.jpg
Hi-lo vs KO in Single Deck H17.jpg

KO/REKO player who use all plus and minus indices can expect the performance close to Advance Omega II-full
without side in single deck games.

You KNOW that something is seriously amiss.

Hi-Opt II with Ace Side-Count is the best in a SD game,

with A.O. II with Ace Side-Count a very close second.

I fixed the simulation by removing "Dealer shows the burn card" and re-post the simulation results.

See BJA3, p. 176. In carefully controlled apples-to-apples comparisons, Hi-Lo doesn't beat K-O under any circumstances on the whole page.

What are the settings of the true count resolution on the TC Calc page?

Wendover still offers double on any two cards. They tried to change to Reno rules a couple of years ago. Play dropped off enough so that they quickly changed back.

The three playable stores in Wendover are Montego Bay, Peppermill, and Rainbow. The Red Garter and Wendover Nugget are worthless dumps for count blackjack.

What about BJ 3:2? Is that gone too in Wendover?

It is not gone. It is alive and well as of a few days ago. The three playable stores in Wendover are Montego Bay, Peppermill, and Rainbow. Each has plenty of tables, as they have had for many years (between the three of them, there are about sixty tables of single deck, 3:2, double on any first two cards, and resplit aces; a .15 game). Many dealers deal seven rounds heads-up; some deal six rounds, and a few lousy dealers deal only five rounds heads-up.

If not, next time I'll plan stop in for awhile. The two connected with the walkway were pathetic on pen and heat at that time.
Not all are open during the week, but there are always plenty of tables. The walkway casinos are Wendover Nugget -- worthless -- and Montego Bay. Years ago, they were Stateline and Silversmith. Perhaps that's when you were there. Again, Nugget has always been worthless, Montego Bay, playable.

I played Wendover 4-6 times a year for over a decade before finally getting tossed in early 2015. However, associates still play there regularly. I still believe it to be the best blackjack destination in the country. Easy access from Salt Lake City airport -- a 90-minute drive with no variance, because SLC airport is on the west edge of the city; no traffic to worry about on I-80 west of the airport.

Not to quibble, but "best blackjack destination" depends greatly on one's bankroll. That said, if you have a max bet under $1,000, I would agree that Wendover is really hard to beat.

This requires flying to Salt Lake City and renting a car to travel.

That is certainly a major expense to overcome for most BJ players.
