    Does CVCX decrease processor's life?

Does using CVCX too often to do simulations decrease the life of my processor? I usually do simulations on my laptop.

If it's an Intel processor, they are very difficult to harm. I pumped up the voltage on my last three PCs -- 20% on my last one. Just keep dust out of the vents and don't run sims outside in Vegas in July.

The most frequent victim of running my laptops hard over the years as been the fan. Try to keep it clean as Norm suggests and do not run sims or any other intensive programs on a laptop with the lid closed.
