Didn't see this thread before. I tweaked Markowitz's bj index generator code, then ran it for HiLo. We can extract BS changes from the indices. The results seem plausible.
hard 14-16 v. A = Stand
soft 18 v. A = Stand
hard 10,11 v. A = Double
hard 9 v. 2 = Double
soft 19 v. 6 = Double
soft 17,18 v. 2 = Double
soft 16 v. 3 = Double
soft 14 v. 4 = Double
7,7 v. 8,A = Split
3,3 v. 8 = Split
2,2 v. 8 = Split
I tweaked ET Fan's PowerSim. This was a harder hack through unfamiliar old-style code. I did my best to review flow as I went along, but caveat non-emptor. If it's truly critical to some awesome ongoing situation, I can spend some more time over the next few days debugging (T-day and a gambling trip notwithstanding). But the numbers seem reasonable:
6 decks, 308 cut off, H21, flat bet, 70 million rounds
Standard BS: win rate 5.4%, variance 1.34
H21 BS: win rate 5.7%, variance 1.39
UPDATE: I thought the dealer couldn't get a blackjack. Sim win rate overrated. I'll redo if I have time tonight.
