    why no backoff?

I've played over 100 hours this year and probably 10 different stores. Sometimes I will go weeks between visits to a store, other times I'll be there 3-4 times a week. I spread 1-12 green, sit out hands, make index plays, without much attention to cover. I'm up around 3500. I tip small and I schmooze, but I also jump bets and have left a table after a 1k win in a single shoe without no tip and no explanation. I have never received heat that I could really identify. Am I playing at tolerant stores? Am I rotating enough that they don't remember me? Should I assume my act is good enough and proceed or is it something else?

    luckyned,

100 hours at 10 stores in 8.5 months is VERY light exposure.

That is a VERY good thing.

If you played 100 hrs spreading 12-1 in green, (in a 6 deck shoe game)

your edge is modest and $35 an hour is hardly more than 1 unit per hr.

That suggests that you are probably playing a game with a H.E. of 0.56%

or worse; and are probably using a simple Level One Count; and haven't

been very lucky. The most important thing is longevity.

Winning at that rate will not put you on their surveillance radar.

+1, especially at large joints. Totally under the radar- you're like at $350/casino

PS. If you would like to experience a backoff, I can hook you up LOL.

Small sample size . Hit a few hundred hours at minimum and see if comps, attitudes, & conditions change at all. Keep us posted .

Like a boxer who thinks he is a winner because he threw more punches in round 1, while the opponent is feeling you out. Your punches (winning $3500. In a year) don't hurt the opponent.

yours, as far as casinos are concerned, is a classic example of how players get addicted. Those who lose a lot initially quit, those who win initially (as you are) end up becoming addicts and they can grind you over the long run. The memory of winning over 100 hours will keep you coming back when the losses come your way.

I fail to see any problem. Keep dong whatever you are doing, learn how to recognize heat and only respond to real heat (not fake heat that you make up). That is the most important thing you can do over your first few hundred hours: protect your name, get familiar enough with your surrounding so you can recognize what's going on.
