I am a skeptic, but, naturally, I will see it.

Did we all see "The Gambler" earlier this year ?

    Total garbage !

I have not seen it, but history has taught us that we are a clique, a coterie,
a niche micro-market;and no producer can create a movie about BJ that will
project sufficient profits to hire a GOOD Director, a GOOD Screenwriter, GOOD
    Actors, a GOOD Editor, etc.

EDIT: I just checked on imdb.com This movie has little to do with blackjack.

The protagonist is a thug with a gambling problem who likes to play BJ.

Incidentally the worst BJ scene ever filmed was in a movie whose name I cannot recall.

I thought that the actor was Burt Reynolds, but imdb and rotten tomatoes say I
    am wrong.

In any case, the protagonist is a good guy degenerate gambler tough guy who is trying to

protect a call-girl and is playing high stakes blackjack - as she needs a huge amount of money.

So he plays BJ. Not only does he simply parlay his money until he loses everything

(just like in this year's "The Gambler") but he obviously had never played a hand of BJ

as he does everything wrong, e.g. handling his (pitched) cards with 2 hands, etc. etc.

I wish that I could recall the name of that movie. It was oddly appealing, in spite of itself.

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
