Spirit is a good one to check as well. As far as add on fees (not sure about frontier), you can pay $0 if you only bring a backpack (no luggage that is larger), don't pick a seat, don't buy food/drink, print out your boarding pass, don't buy travel insurance

Anymore I see lots of baggage fees, so add that on! There didn't used to be such a thing as baggage fees. Are there any airlines left that don't charge baggage fees?

Southwest Airlines allows you two carry on bags and two checked bags free. Also, when they quote you a price, it includes all taxes and Govt fees.

Spirit airlines is a total joke. They charge for EVERYTHING. They even charge to print your boarding pass at the kiosk ($7) or something. I asked for a glass of water (not juice or soda) and the flight attendant said sorry we only sell it by the bottle for $3. I laughed and said no thanks. 5 minutes later she came back and brought me 2 glasses of ice- I guess so I could wait for the ice to melt. LOL. I don't know whether it was more embarrassing for me or her.

Spirit frontier and the like are the only airlines I avoid. My sense is that if they are squeezing so hard for every cent in things like water they probably are doing so in safety as well. Perhaps unfounded but this class of airline has always had more problems than average...
