Thread: Which Cruise Line Does NOT Use CSM's

I didn't think I'd see something so ridiculous said here, so I had to say something, then thought it might be sarcastic! I've gotten in to it with ploppies after jumping in, in a high count about the "flow" of cards. I love it when the dealer hits BJ when I pull my bet back at a ploppies request.

    ZenMaster_Flash,

Carnival Cruise Lines had such a sign back in late 2007. I posted about it over at BJ21 Green Chip:

However, they claimed that "winnings" would be subject to forfeiture.

Good point. I don't know any admiralty law, but I would want to know if I can sue them in the US if they steal my money.

I wanted to rekindle this thread as I probably will be going on a cruise soon. I use to cruise a lot being based in Florida and I remember when Carnival changed their rules to CSM, H17, etc etc etc... it was a real blow.

But I believe Royal Caribbean and Norwegian use 8D, nothing too special. In regards to them seizing your winnings or comps, I’d get the comps in writing and would sue them in the US if they did confiscate or go back on their word. If you have an offer from them in writing, that’s grounds for the credit card company to Chargeback if they did end up charging.

I have never heard of a cruise line seizing casino winnings. I don’t see how you couldn’t sue them for theft in a US court where you’d have embarked since they are doing business there. Counting cards has never been deemed illegal. So why not put up a sign that says anyone who wins we reserve the right to steal your money.

A very good case could be made that it’s theft if they’d confiscate winnings. There is no shortage of good lawyers suing cruise lines...

I have a crazy lose on celebrity and they where cutting 2.0-2.5 on the 8 deck . This was the a new year eve cruise which had great action. Lost 80k betting 3x300 on single deck fame and 2x800 on shoe game when I found a dealer at 1.5 or less. They rotate so it sucks toward the end of my cruise give me 1.0 or I won’t play and I received it. People say rumored to cheat but who knows. They take the cards out of the cabinet when it’s a new day, the single deck they fan it daily. Got off that cruise stayed in a hotel for one day and then took royal Carribean cruise, lost 20 more thousand then won 25k in my first 2.5 hours of play got told I can’t play anymore. Go back next day to try to play poker and manager comes up to me and said survalliance in miami said u can’t play anything in the casino not even slots. They said if you try to come to the casino again we will have you locked in ship jail, I politely told them to suck my dick and left. The rest of the cruise sucked. Celebrity is a much more upscale cruise line and the food was amazing. I tried to book back on celebrity a month later and they share information between both boats and I’m flagged. Go threw a junket host and u won’t get ur comps taken back. Honestly the game was sketchy. I had one shoe I lost 43k betting 2x800 on. Who knows what going on... this was the begging of the streak that broke my last 300k bankroll. I just kept losing and losing. Took like. 240k down swing bettintn2x800 and then went berserk wnentotled the last 60k off taking a shot to try to get the level back up of where I can pay expenses and still generate livable ev. Cruises suck in my opinion.

I've never seen 3:2 single deck on a cruise, however all you need to do is count down a number of shoes to know they cheat. When 90% of the shoes and at a high plus count, that's all it can be.
I've made several posts about this over the years.

Wow that’s some heavy loses. I was also going to say you can’t beat single deck 6:5, unless you use St. Jude’s count. What cruise line shares info with who?

I've simmed SD 6:5 games. They become positive EV around TC +3 or +4, depending on exact rules. What kind of spread were you using?

Instead of asking this and Thad. Look at real world conditions and see what spread works .. call about number of players how deep the go, how many spots being played is playable or not . Spend an hour with a sim and it will tell u
