Which Cruise Line Does NOT Use CSM's

I remember back in 2005 when Carnival Cruise Lines changed all their games to H17, and started using CSM's (this was out of South Florida).

Are there cruise lines that do not use CSM's? I've heard that Norwegian had a single deck 6:5 game.

My wife was a cruise junkie, and I think it is finally over after our most recent foray to Alaska.

I, as a dutiful husband would go with her, but only if she realized she was going to be a casino widow most of the time. Seeing as she wanted to go on a ship, she reluctantly grew accustomed to venturing out on her own on the ships, without me. We would go to ports together and explore, but back on the ship, she knew our routine.

Started out with 6D, H17, DAS, NS, 75-80% Pen (dealer dependent), and typical rules. Then, started seeing 8D games, then started seeing shoes with notches usually around 2 decks cut off, but some dealers even worse.

Trip to Alaska, confirmed that all Princess (which is owned Carnival) is all CSM except blackjack variant games, which were still dealt from shoes or by hand. Suspect that won't last long.

Casino host told me to expect that the rest of Carnival's ships would be converting over to CSM on all blackjack games.

    Just sharing my experience.

Yes, so Carnival has gone CSM. But what about other cruise lines?

I was on a Celebrity cruise last year, and they were 8D, H17, DAS, NS, don't know about RSA, and pen was probably about 80%. They were NOT CSM.

I went on a Holland America cruise this year, and same conditions as above. Also NOT CSM.

    Were the games hand shuffled?
Also does anyone know anything specifically about Norwegian, or Celebrity?

Both Celebrity and Holland were hand-shuffled.

Be careful. There have been reports of currency confiscation, revocation of comps, and worse. International waters and headquarters outside of US curtail legal recourse.

    Marlene is fully correct.

I forget which cruise line it is, but they have mounted brass plaques

declaring that they have the absolute right to confiscate your funds,

not just winnings, if they simply judge you to be counting cards.

    Heeheehee.

The plops care about the natural flow of the cards in BJ. Nothing messes with the natural flow they are talking about more than CSM's. Why do you think most won't play them? The difference is obvious to anyone that has played BJ for a long time. The runs of wins and losses are affected pissing off the progression bettors. The deck never gets out of whack pissing of the side bet bettors. All this because the flow of the cards is disrupted in order to thwart would be counters by intentionally messing with the sacred flow of the cards that poppies worship.

    Jeff201,

Tthree is being extremely sarcastic as

there is no such phenomenon as "flow",

but it is laughable for us to hear the less

    knowledgable (innumerate) players

complain about our play of the hands.

I have seen these plaques on the wall, but has there ever actually been recorded cases of people's winnings being seized?

I forget the name of that guy Gambling with an Edge interviewed last year who exclusively uses cruise ships for his AP play. He didn't seem to have anything to say about confiscation.
