    blackjack beatable in 2016 ?

    Hi Friends,

In my city, local casino offers below blackjack game :

    1) there is no whole card for dealer ( in first round, dealer gets only one card )
    2) no surrender
    3) double allow at any time but not with Ace
    4) double allow after split but not with Ace
    6) use total 8 decks when they start game, but hey use 6 decks in game and after 6 decks or near 6 decks will come, they do shuffle and will start new game

Is this game beatable ? since last 6-8 months, i m visiting casino, but i haven't seen any one who really winning. people mostly make money by side bets like perfect pairs.

hows' Ace-5 and REKO card counting method ? which is best place to get basic strategy as now days there are many different sites who claims that they offer best basic strategy chart and they do marketing to get them membership and becomes expert.

please share your card counting experience with Ace-5 and REKO method.

which is the good book for this modern BJ game.

if is there any advance player in ausi / nz , would like to meet and get his/her mentoring.

    Best Regards
    Ben

Yes this game is beatable but I wouldn't use the play all approach. In an eight deck blackjack with the rule you gave would be a grind if you use the play all approach. Forget about using Ace-5 count to attack this game. Use Norm's REKO but use the backcount approach. Enter at -3 at any point during the shoe and exit at -24 only when more than two decks have been dealt and not near the end of the shoe. Taken from Modern Blackjack.

There's a great blackjack strategy generator at blackjackinfo.com.

A-5 is no good if you're interested in actually making money. REKO, KO, HiLo, Red7, and many others all work well.

For the most part, all BJ games that pay 3:2 are beatable....but the game you listed isn't particularly good...

    Thanks @rollingstoned @seriousplayer,

here my confusion is that casion starts game with 8 decks but they only use 6 decks in play, so whenever i go for basic strategy or any kind of true count, what would be deck no. for me ?

in my local casino, they start fresh game with 8 decks, while that they cut approx 2 decks and when they reach to that cut card ( black card separator ), they finish game and shuffle for new game . so what would be deck no. for me?

as mentioned above, what would be house edge ( casino favour) ?

You need to read Norm's free book first if you do not want to buy a book as you are asking questions that can be answered by Norm's free book.

The "Down Under" games, (exclusive of C S M's) is [perhaps] the world's worst BJ venue.

    "Forget about it."

I strongly suggest that if you wish to continue posting here, you have someone who is

more comfortable with the English language edit / proofread what you are submitting.

Ben, you are playing against an 8 deck game period. As the cards are being played through the shoe, cards are accumulating in the discard tray, that you have already seen and hopefully know the composition of those played cards, so you can make accurate bets and playing decisions on the remaining cards you have not seen. The more cards that you can see the better. Example if there is 5 decks in the discard tray that you have seen, you are now making decisions based on what you already know, and the 3 remaining decks regardless if you are only going to see 1 more deck before the cut card comes out.

Like standing besides a group of mechanics with a flat tire and reading the manual to find out where a step tire may be located? I just ask.

You might only have a flat repair kit in your trunk, of course you would expect the mechanics to tell you how to repair it.

The comment was in regards to a different issue entirely - not at all aimed at newbies.
