If they would stack the deck in a casino maybe this would be useful. I guess if you pay attention to the ranks played without counting them you might get "intuition" as to what might be coming. In a casino the deck is usually stacked. Your job is to determine which color it is at the current time and act accordingly. I know there are times when intuition would say never double an 11 because you are likely to get an ace. It is just noticed more readily than other cards that put you in the same situation. This is not ground breaking work. We have evolved to notice patterns that both threaten or enhance our existence. Those that didn't died or had to work harder for their daily nut. Either side of the coin made the observant creature more fit to survive long enough to be seen as a good mate allowing them to pass this ability on assuming it had a genetic origin.

Your writing style is strangely familiar to me. Have we met?

Yes, especially if they know the card counters' secret handshake.

I'm afraid that trickle that you have diverted your way has little chance of draining the ocean anytime soon. smiley-sport036.gif

Especially when there are 100x our number in plops discharging their wallets into the ocean in question.

Blink is good. But if you want solid tangential reading I suggest amazoning yourself a copy of "thinking, fast and slow." it'll teach you about mental pitfalls we face and how to think better and more clearly
