Thanks- doing well - second grandson has arrived and life is good. Semi retired - thought I would be all done, however, wife wants me to stay at least semi active for awhile.

I stayed at the Strat - played that polite spread there, am no longer welcome in table games. At least other backoffs elsewhere were at higher stakes.

Other places to avoid at any stakes for blackjack
Cosmo, Aria, SLS, Monte Carlo, NYNY, Gold Coast, Suncoast, Southpoint

You should be ok everywhere else with reasonable precautions and as long as your action blends in. That means, as an example, don't go to Boulder Station and expect to play double deck spreading 2x$50 to 2x$500 and not get backed off on the second shuffle after you bet it up. There is really no place in Vegas anymore that will let you just sit there and bomb away for hours at a time. Stick and move my friend.

Then there's those chemtrails you have to dodge.

    Gold Coast? South Point?

Sweaty? Yes. Good games, not so much.

I guess I should of maybe put an * as you previously mentioned.. figured someone would nitpick.............

Silverton, SLS, Hardrock, Aria, Tropicana, and El Cortez........

    Aria-Good Game* On paper
    El Cortez-Good Game* On paper
Silverton- Better than most of Vegas* On paper
    SLS- Good game* On paper
    Hard Rock-Good game* On paper
    Trop- Good game* On paper

Although I put an * and said "on paper"; prior to getting backed off I found playable games at all of these places.......

I also should of mentioned that I hardly ever play at $5 and $10 tables, and mentioned that what I meant by "good" was better than a H17, no DAS, no RSA... Obviously most of the games above are better on paper than in real life, being that many of the games in Vegas have saturated.

    We warned you!
So next time do 1-20, since you know you're going to get booted anyway

Hey guys so I just got back from the trip. A fucking sweat shop but I did last 4 hours with some heavy camouflage and a 4 unit spread 25-100. I mean I'm amazed that they caught on to me because I definitely did a lot to try and throw them off. I just wanted to see if i could do something people on this thread couldn't. Well I took them for 850 during the 4 hours there and just walked over to the Mirage where I've found the best double deck game 25 min can get you on the strip and made another 1200. So I partied my ass off at night, and got free drink at the night clubs just for playing a lil bit of blackjack. So although I'm fried at TI fuck that place the casino sucks anyways.

    nwkfern,

Upon returning to the Mirage you are very likely to be 86'd within minutes.
    That is because one's 2nd visit to a casino is where most back-offs happen;
as the casino reviewed your play after you left. Modest stakes and modest
wins dictate that they can just do a future 86'ing.

Lol the mirage will not welcome sharp action in that DD game. But it's not to the level of TI. You should at least be able to get a couple hours in. My guess is they wouldn't remember you if you came back.

Pretty sad when the supposedly biggest casinos in the biggest gambling market now sweat a 200 max bet.

Aria is bad. The surveillance folks there are sharp. and management trains them to absolutely despise winning players. They tolerate high-rolling ploppies, but will back off and make entries into databases on any reasonable suspicion of brain usage.

You were just plain lucky. Such a weak spread with "heavy camouflage" at tiny stakes should not have netted you 850. Good for you for taking a few bucks out of that dump.
