    what is decks?
    when playing blackjack on iphone game, how many decks are there

    It depends what you want to simulate playing. There are different blackjack games. There are single deck games which you would pick 1 for on your game, there are double deck games which you would pick 2 for, all the way up to eight deck shoe games that you would choose 8 for. So 1,2,4,6,or 8. Your choice.

    I've also played 3, 5, and 7-deck games.

    a deck is usually considered 52 cards, 4 of each of the 13 ranks (2 through A)

    Within my driving distance, the most common are 6, 2, 5, 8, and 1 deck games (in that order).

    Only 5 deck shoes I have seen.........here or elsewhere are in CSM's. I always thought that was an odd number of decks (literally and figuratively) but maybe that's the amount the machines can handle as a maximum without jamming too often. Not that I play them. But have yet to see other numbers than 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8 on actual dealer dealt/shuffled games. Guess you interpolate indexes if you don't have software to determine them?
