    Rigged blackjack at its finest

I love playing poker at the closest casino but the blackjack sucks. I have been in the money for 3 straight tournaments. Just last night I finshed 5th out of 54 people and won a few hundred bucks. So afterwards my brother and I watched people get slaughtered playing blackjack while drinking a few tourney victory beers. I refuse to play blackjack there anymore and I haven't since January.

Let me first tell you a little history of blackjack at this fine establishment. First of they have been busted for removing aces out of the deck twice. Guess what their punishment was a 1,000 fine for the first offense and 5,000 for the second offense. They can't legally do something about it cause it is a Indian casino. Second I have seen a dealer go 3 straight shoes without busting. I think it relates to the first thing cause they replace the aces with little cards. I havre talked to an older gentleman and he has been to over 50 casinos and this one is the worst one for the dealer busting. Also I have seen 28 cards in a row that isn't a face or ten value. With some math some smart person on this message board said the odds were 1 in 6,950.

So back to my blackjack story so my brother and I get to a table where the shoe (6 decks) was just shuffled. That shoe the dealer got 14 blackjacks and only busted 2 times. My brother and I were making side bets behind the table on what the dealer was going to do next of course we were whispering to one anther the bets and it was really funny. I had to bite my tongue several times from laughing so the people on the table couldn't hear me. So we left the casino and laughed basically the whole 45 minute ride home.

So I know this this story was the extreme of shoes but honestly I can say that I have never seen a hot table for the past several months. I go to a couple of poker tourneys a week. I feel bad for the people playing but what can I honestly do. If I told them a tenth of all of the weird stuff I have seen there they would say I was crazy so don't talk to them at all.

Bouns points to those who can name this casino.

    HInt; it is in Michigan

as far as the "dealer gets 14 blackjacks , and busted twice "thing ...
...with players , jumping in and out of the game, its pretty much impossible for them to control the amount of blackjacks the dealer gets ...that's probably just bad luck / a fluke /
the other stuff sounds pretty bad though...its unfortunate they got fined for removing aces ... I bet if a player got caught pocketing a few little cards , they'd be in jail ... a casino does it , a small fine for them ...

If someone guessed the right casino somebody could possibly find out your identity if you did indeed cash 5th place in a poker tournament last night. Maybe it's not such a good idea to give bonus points.

AGREED 100% Nikky ! The citation amounts of $1,000 and $5,000. I'm sure that put a huge dent in the hold for table games that day. Hell, they probably held upper 90% on BJ. The gaming agency that levied the casino with this citation should really be ashamed of their selves.
$5,000 for the second offense? Are you sure these numbers are accurate? If so that is a very shady place. I've heard of similar incidents where the casino was short decking patrons ( not on purpose ) because the floor supervisors were too lazy to verify that all cards were there when the shuffler "red lighted". They discovered the missing cards when they caged the decks out, tis s hen they discovered they were 10 cards short. This specific casino was fined upper $20K ( for the first offense) and ~$50k for the second offense, both occurred within a 30 period. In this state, the agency in charge of overseeing operations threatened to pull the properties license if it happened again for multiple reasons. Mainly protecting the integrity of the other caisinos that they regulate. The new policy they implemented was any time a red light came on the shuffler; the floor had to pull the cards, and verify that every card was there by counting every card. In the process of them verifying the cards they would instruct the dealer to hand shuffle.

You mention you played tourneys there, I’m curious of what the rake is on the cash games, ha.

IMHO, I'd seriously contemplate staying away from that place. No poker, bj, or even VP, they don’t deserve anyone’s business. Let them self-destruct, sounds like a damn speak easy if you ask me.

I was friends with a pit boss and a dealer from that casino and they told me that story. As far as being in big trouble for their second offense; they are a Indian casino and they are regulated by the tribal gaming commission. So in other words they govern themselves.

As far as playing in tournaments I see no reason why they would cheat at that. I always tip the dealers 10 percent of my tournament winnings cause that is the right thing to do. That's what it says in the poker magazines I have read. So I think think the dealers like me.

Cash game on the other hand I wouldn't play I think they take up to a 5 dollar rake for each pot and another buck for the bad beat.

Another thing this casino doesn't have auto shufflers. So obviously there no red light warnings. Is that one casino you mentioned happen to be soaring eagle in Mt. Pleasant

So how do you explain the dealer getting 14 Blackjack?.If they are removing aces they should get less Bj`s.If they are adding small cards to replace tens they should also get less bj`s.

I would NEVER tip the dealers 10% of my tournament winnings in a poker tournament. To me that is the wrong thing to do.
