    Comp Hotel Rooms Being Reversed

Has this happend to anyone where they have been backed off and received mutliple hotel offers. I am booked for 8 nights and i have been backed off at this chain (not at this store but at the same chain). I asked the reservation hotline and they said my play already "earned" the comps so there is no play requirement. I am truly wondering whats going to happen when they see that they comped me 8 nights and i don't play a lick under that card. FYI, it is a Cesear property.

I know marketing and the people who back you off have a big disconnect I am just wondering.

I also have a question about foxwoods. I am getting hotel offers from them. Is it possible to book under the players card name and then play unrated? Will they charge my card if they don't see any play. I had good play on the card last time thats why i am getting comp suites, i am just wondering if they give me a suite and don't see me play if they will charge me for it? I know if you get a comp room from them and get backed off on your stay they will charge you for the room. I might be paranoid but i think i got heat from them on my last session and don't want to drive all the way their just to get backed off and pay for a suite for the weekend.

When you get comped you don't have to play at those chains if you didn't want to for those days. It won't affect the current reservation... I do it all time. It will however affect earning future comps because obviously they are based on your play.

Foxwoods will not charge you anything for your comped room if you don't play/play unrated during the stay, you just most likely won't receive offers in the future. They will definitely charge you for your comped room and take away your points if you get backed off during the stay (this happened to me).

When I was backed off at Foxwoods, they zeroed out my comps, but I was not charged for the comped suite. If they did charge me for the room, I would have disputed it with my credit card company.

i got 8 days comped in one of their rooms and on the website they say its like 250 a night. I don't want to get stuck with the bill for that, thats why im asking for the question.

    Thanks for all the replies

The funny thing was that it was a suite and the cost ended up steeply discounted anyways (~$50-60). I didn't want to make a big deal about it since the amount was a pittance compared to how much I took off them. Also, I was able to very, very quickly use all my points right after being backed off.

I had comped reservations revoked at check in at an evil empire property, Flamingo, last year. It wasn't due to backoff, but rather lack of play during previous stay. It was a long holiday weekend, combination st patrick's day/ March madness weekend. I had rented out my condo, as I had previously done on superbowl weekend and New years and made comped reservations online. When I showed up at checkin, I was told the comp would not be honored, despite that I had a printout with confirmation number that stated 'comped'. I spoke to the front desk manager, who stated that they have the right to revoke and not honor comped rooms at any time. Maybe so, but pretty sleazy to inform you upon checkin. I had to scramble to find comped accommodations for that busy weekend at Terribles Casino, which really wasn't all that terrible.

wow that would suck completely. Did you only stiff them once and that happen? or did you constantly stiff them. I just stiffed them in AC last weekend but have a huge overall loss with them from being a ploppy from previous years. My card is flagged for bj. I hope this doesn't happen to me as I am flying out from the east coast with an 8 day reservation. I called and talked to the front desk and they confirmed my stay. I said I am feeling terrible and will not be playing like usual and they said it didn't matter what i played this trip because this offer was based on previous play. I should be fine right?

I also just got an offer for 5 night in vegas for free from november and december. I can book it online now. When i stiff them this trip i am assuming the offer will already be there since it was already given to me. I would hate to fly out there and be told i can't stay there. Anyone else experience what kj is talking about at the evil empire?

    P.s.
I have a lifetime loss of about 70k at the evil empire properties. (major blackchip plop prior)

I would be beside myself with rage. I'm amazed they get away with this and don't get sued, or convicted for that matter. They must be banking on out-of-towners not bothering to sue, and the small penalty if somebody actually wins.

Foxwoods pay for your room as you accrue the comps....once you use the comps they cannot screw you out of them. For example, staying 4 nights, pay for the first 2 nights when you have the comps built up which reduces your comp balance to 0 Wampums....then as you build up more pay for the 3rd night, then the 4th night...that way they can only screw you enough to make you pay for 1 or 2 nights. If they back you off you can always check-out early and move to a cheaper hotel.
