    Worst Las Vegas Hotels, Casinos

Thought it would be good to have a public thread with this title. I was thinking we should rate hotels with bad rules at major travel sites. But, they have so many reviews; there wouldn’t be any impact.

Feel free to list burn joints in this thread, in Las Vegas or elsewhere.

Good idea......the Linq is a real piece of crap they advertise handheld games and only have CSM and virtual blackjack open even on weekends. I wish CVBJ posted a secondary issue of what your actually going to see in casinos. I would pay top dollar for that issue. Aria is another sweaty piece of crap they only have $50 tables and up and then CSM's. Also, be prepared for a sweat fest after a winning session seems like they have a sweaty pit boss check box in there applications.

Last time I was in Vegas I stayed at the Palms. Walked across the street (at the light - several well-known APs have gotten jaywalking tickets near there) to the Gold Coast. Looked around at the games. Walked back across the street to get my car and drive somewhere playable.

South Point... while waiting for someone who was there for a convention, I sat down at a $5 dollar DD table. Got backed off when I 'jumped' my bet from $5 to $20 after winning a double down. The pit boss' face was so red with anger that I thought that he might have a stroke.

The hotel itself is decent though.

From a friend of mine not on the forum:
Played at the Sweaty Spaniard (El Cortez). Jumped his bet at SD from $5 to $10 and got the boot.

Seriously?? Why they don't just put a flat-bet only sign on the table for everyone.

    Burn Joints
    1. NYNY (almost every game is now 6/5
    2. Venetian/Palazzo (unless you can afford $100+ min tables)
    3. Binions (horrible games, living off the name, such a shame)
    4. Monte Carlo
    5. Excalibur

For the most part the best values for the non-counting gambler are at the locals casinos.

Please spell out entire hotel names. I want this thread indexed by Google should prospective visitors look for reviews.

And, no reason not to add negative reviews of the hotels themselves.

2 and 4 are the few casinos in the Strip with good BJ games. On the second thought, 1 is just OK.

    Monte Carlo casino is crap.

BJ pays 6:5, H17, No Surrender, 8 deck shoe with 2 decks being cut-off for games with a minimum of $50.

    Avoid like the plague.

It would help a great deal if you knew how to wager in DD.

I think Monte Carlo has a decent game in the HL room at 50 or 100 min usually as do most of the MGM properties with regards to their higher limit games.

COSMOPOLITAN HAS TO BE THE WORST, its 6 to 5 everywhere i saw, maybe if you walk alll the way in and go into the HL room it MAY be different, but in waling all that way and passing pit after pit of 6 to 5 games you will be so repulsed you will want to turn around before you even get there.
