    Penetration

    Hi lads!

Could you guys give any good advice of how i could convince the dealer to place the cut card into the end of a six decks shoe? The casino where i play at (In Europe)uses mostly 1.75-2.0 penetration depending on the dealers' mood. Do you guys have any good trick? Shall i tip more?

    Cheers

All the best at the tables

The old saying I learned from a personal development class, . Ask for what you want. Tell the dealer you want him to deal deeper and put a tip out when you ask, if the dealer complies even a little leave the tip out and keep working on him on the next shuffle. If the dealer doesn't comply pick up the tip and tell the dealer to color you up.

I feel like answering this will ID me to any spies on the site. One thing I can say is if the dealer suddenly gives you better pen put a tip out. Dealers try to figure out what will get you to tip. By only tipping to reinforce desired behavior you give them the chance to learn what you want and give as much of it as they feel comfortable doing. I am sure you can come up with appropriate comments to help the dealer understand without being explicit as to why. I am sure you can think of a number of reasons you might want the shoe to last longer that has nothing to do with AP. One I don't use much is this is probably my last shoe so couldn't we make it a long one. I have seen really good APs at working dealers get unbelievable pen. I got a dealer to cut so the shoe was dealt down to 6 cards heads up once. I know because the other dealer counted them when he finished the shoe after relieving her. I usually don't get that good of pen though. I do get some dealers to give me better cuts. I had one apologize for not being able to give me a better cut because the corporate suits where on site that day. I think most dealers probably know what we are doing. Some are happy to do what they are comfortable doing to help especially if you tip or they like having you around.

Suck up a couple shallow shoes, then as the second shoe ends say something like "Come on.. There's plenty of cards left! I came here to gamble, not watch a shuffle fest!"

I've noticed mixed results with this tactic.

After a bad shoe I blame the dealer because all the good hands are in the back of the shoe and needle the dealer to place it deeper for the next one.

Here's my complicated and long winded advice.

Dont play Blackjack if the dealer is holding more than 52 cards.

You could also try getting a real job.

Tell them you are playing a progression system and you need enough rounds for the progression to work.

wow. that might have the added benefit of extra cover. Not only are you telling them you're using a progression system, you're making them think you're superstitious enough to think playing more rounds in a single shoe makes a difference (to the progression player).
