Las Vegas Golden Nuggets Single Deck Blackjack

I am planning a trip to Las Vegas after my birthday. In past three years the rules of blackjack in Las Vegas was unplayable but it did seem to improve a little especially their double deck blackjack games. The penetration has improved according to Current Blackjack Report. The Golden Nugget in Las Vegas seem to offer a game with the rules 1 Deck H17, freebet with the house edge of 0%. The freebet blackjack basic strategy is that for single deck blackjack as well?

What options in CVCX or CVDATA allow me to simulate that rule for a count system? Is there an option I can put in Casino Verite to practice that game?

I don't think CBJN is accurate on the house edge for game. I think the single deck was 6;5 on blackjacks when I observed the game.

This report kind of confirms my observation: http://casinogambling.about.com/od/V...-Blackjack.htm

Avoid the game, IMO. The nugget has far better games to offer.

If you think Vegas has bad blackjack games, you're not looking in the right places. There's S17 DAS DD with 75% pen. At a bunch of places.

I am talking about low limit like $5-$25. I do see S17 DAS DD 75% in the Hard Rock in Las Vegas it was $100 limit in the high limit pit. At that time I didn't have that big of a bankroll to play $100 limit games yet. When I first went to Las Vegas (3-4 years back) I don't even see 6 Deck S17, DAS, LS, RSA offer under $100. The casino ask me to play $300 limit if I want to play 6 Deck S17, DAS, LS, RSA.

I don't know where you were looking. There are good $25 DD and shoe games all over the strip. Hell, you can back-count the DD if you don't have enough bankroll.

Also, try the locals places if you want to play good $5-10 DD.

moo not being defensive here. I was referring to the time I first start counting. When I first started I didn't look at penetration. After stop playing for awhile I studied up and now I found myself to be a lot different.

"Hell, you can back-count the DD if you don't have enough bankroll."

I don't want heat! I will need to figure out a creative way to not get caught backcounting because it will be too obvious when I just stand behind a table and start backcounting. When I stand a further distance back I found it hard to see the cards clearly.

All counting if obvious. Just do it.

I've done hundreds and hundreds of hours of back-counting, including a good amount of DD. Never been caught. And if they do catch you, it's of little consequence if it's somewhere you don't go often.

No mid shoe entry in double deck in Golden Nugget.
at least that's what I observed.
i also saw 6-5 on single decks there.
i don't play there. Games are not great and I like staying there
    too much. Great hotel.

Going to Vegas soon and have been studying CBJN for the best games. I think I see exactly what Moo is referring to although most 25 min. DD games are S17, DAS and most with decent pen. A few are terrific. There are even some good 6 deck games with good to excellent pen. I also see there are some DD games for lower minimums H17 with decent pen. I love the DD game, but this trip I want to try some 6 deck. Is 6 deck the better way to go or should I mix the two? Do all MGM store share info? If I play rated, will my card reveal all my play at all MGM casinos when my play is brought up on the screen?

If you have Mlife. You can log into your account and see that your play is tracked between properties. So, most likely each store will be able to see your win/loss.

Bingo, though at the limits he wants to play, switch S17 for H17 from what I could see in my April trip this year.

Play on the weekends in downtown, you will find a ton of $10 DD games that are DAS, RSA, DOA, H17 IIRC.

You won't find rsa with DD but what you will find is half shoe cuts and heat to boot.
