    The London Blackjack Team

Hi to all UK players. (Preferably near the greater London area). A new blackjack team is being formed in the capital. This seems like the most sensible place to look for talent in the London area and surrounding boroughs. It's going to begin with regular meets and practice sessions over the next year and hopefully will move up to more serious plans when the time is right and all members are fully trained and up to speed.

Card Counting Abilities are a big Advantage (But not 100% Neccesary right away).
A complete knowledge of UK BJ Rules 6-8 Deck Basic Strategy must be second nature.

If you're interested in joining up then please email us at thelondonblackjackteam at gmail dot com

Please no a55holes, we're not interested in hearing what cannot be done from anybody. Just get in touch if you're up for it.

All ages M or F welcome.

here's what I'm thinking... we'll do your standard 21 style team. spotters and i'll big player it up. alternatively if you don't want to trust me with your money i will control a gorilla big player (probably an investor who wants to keep a close eye on the money). are you thinking 50/50 split between investors and players? how do you plan to work the player share? i think the real key is to put in a ton of volume, hit & run sessions, a couple hours @ each casino and then move on to the next one and the next one etc.

It occurs to me that this is a serious request asking about joining up as a Blackjack Team. I don't appreciate you not taking the request seriously.

Not too many "next ones" I'm afraid. London's a fairly big, cosmopolitan, city, but when it comes to BJ tables it ain't that big.

Interesting term from the OP - "a55holes". In the UK we tend to use the term ar$e for the part of the body one sits on, "ass" being something that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on. Two nations seperated by a common language?

And Meistro, lasses are something you tend to find further north - around Newcastle, Tyneside and up into Scotland. Not a term generally used in the Smoke to refer to the fairer sex . . . (unless you're from Newcastle, Tyneside, Scotland etc).

The BJ games in the UK really are $#it, and certainly don't warrant anyone from the States considering travelling over here to play them.

    Chin chin.

Indeed! It is a very small money filled pond called Central London. That's where most of the big game action happens in the UK. The new aspers casino in Stratford is interesting as not all of the table use CSMs. They also have S17 in stead of S17/18, which adds about 0.2% to the player advantage. 6 decks yields an expectation of -0.54%, and -0.57% with 8 decks. So they aren't gaining more than 0.03% by doing this. So S17 at Aspers despite the 8 Decks isn't a bad bet, although we are keeping in mind that they are operating under ENHC which obviously sucks, and as is the case with most of the Casinos around London. I'm not sure what their deck penetration is like but with the Olympics on their doorstep, I doubt very much that the dealers are going to have time to shuffle every Quarter deck. It's safe to assume that the count could get very nice indeed.

Too bad the team won't be assembled in team to reap the rewards!! ... Anyway, you guys sound like you're in the right frame. How many of you live in UK / Near London? As for travelling here to do this, I don't think we could offer that at the moment. The team isn't even assembled and it's going to take a long time until we know what level we're at, what our targets are, and what the general plan is! But thanks a lot for the reply man!

The minimum bet in most of the targets is £10 but we have witnessed £5 on occasion. I would say 50k would be a step too early. We are still only in the planning stage!

Interesting catch. The difference in the use of the word ass between the UK and US was pointed out in a bit by a UK and US comic at the recent Secret Policeman’s Ball.

If you are really serious about this I think it would be important for you to introduce yourself. How long have you been playing? What's your actual experience? Have you played with other teams or have any experience managing teams? Im not interested in your offer, but anyone half smart will want to know all these things before even considering it. Plus, the fact that you are putting together a team to play in an area where games are not all that good sounds strange. Anyway, I think you are not pitching it properly, that's all. Good luck.
