AAAHHHH! I wind up losing the count and everything!
lol , sorry man , It's crazy especially when they change on you and it's unexpected, one is turtle - you're with em' for a half hour... then someone steps up on a dealer-change and it seems unreal.
zippin' stuff out there at such a high-speed-blur it's almost cartoonish ...
“It seemed to me ... that any civilization that had so far lost its head as to need to include a set of detailed instructions for use in a package of toothpicks, was no longer a civilization in which I could live and stay sane.”
I hate the ones that go so fast that the cards literally fly off the table. After that they are supposed to count to make sure all the cards are still there. They usually don't do it though. Had a dealer do it many times in a couple shoes. Despite the slow down of recovering the cards from the floor which required the Floor to come over eating some of the raise the quick dealing gave me what I think it was a nice raise. If only he could so down just enough to keep the cards on the table life would be perfect.
Be careful. When you start getting irritated with dealers, ploppies taking too long yo make a decision, people hitting bad hands against dealer 6's, splitting 5's and such, it is time to leave and take a break. First sign that you are about to make mistakes is when you are loosing your cool!!
Why would you get pissed off at the way others play their hands unless you have next card info. The next card is theirs until they wave it off. Why notice the half the time it hurts you and be upset when you can just as easily notice the half the time it helps you and be happy. I prefer to be happy so the choice is a no-brainer.
In LV recently, a competent dealer at a large strip casino told me, "I don't deal fast anymore because too many people can't follow what's going on."
They kept asking her to slow down, so now she deals slower than before. I was so sad...
