Setting number of threads for index generation.

    Hey!

When I am generating indices using CVData, I cannot set the number of threads like I do when making a normal simulation.
So here I am trying to make use of my super-duper-computer at work, but CV only uses my 12 threads during the pre-sim for RA indices; afterwards, it will use only 12% of my computing power.

Any way to change this behavior?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Index generation is not a good problem for multi-threading. Actually, CVData and CVCX are two of the extremely few programs that multi-thread. It's kind of funny that all these multi-core CPUs with hyper-threading are sold when there really aren't but a handful of multi-threaded applications. OTOH, multi-threading works fantastically for Blackjack simulation.

I know, that's one of the reasons I love them. (there are a few reasons why I hate them as well )

Yes, I think the same thing. And I love making BJ simulations at work during lunch, because they go at light speed in my computer. It's sad I can't do the same thing with indices since they are the really slow ones.

    Thanks for the info.
